So I read about this fillum when it was released but never really sought it out.

I turned on my tv yesterday and checked the grid and there it was.

THE IRON CLAW.

It was nothing like I thought it would be. It is the story of the Von Erich wrestling family. But it was about more than that. A story of survival. Zac Efron was very good as Kevin Von Erich....but everyone was good.

The wrestling scenes were well done - but the family dynamic was difficult to watch. If you think you might be interested, it is highly recommended by the likes of me.

I also re-read a book called Rainbow's End. It is the story about The Judy Garland Show and all of the backstabbing and misguided attempts to make the show what it never should have been.

Of course then I had to watch a few of the episodes on the box set I watched many years ago. Interesting to see after reading about the shenanigans that were going on.

That prompted me to look up the wikipedia for The Judy Garland Show, and where that led me.

Even from that, it sounds like so much trosuris went on in that one season, especially considering it's a show we now look at with such affection.

Behind the scenes shenanigans are not new to the 21st century, I guess.

I was surprised at how the movie was not what I thought it was going to be. Excellent performances

A favorite Judy Garland TV moment - would this song be OK today on TV?

My mom's house had unreliable (non-existent) Internet, which is being rectified by switching providers.

The last two nights we've been doing our homework for scene study class. We need to watch a movie and be prepared to briefly discuss a great scene that reveals character. We have about 20 movies to choose from.

Downfall's scene is easy - it's the one that's a meme that you probably have seen a zillion times. In the context of the movie it's the big character reveal.
