Today we saw the opening of Parsifal at San Francisco Opera. This was our first time seeing it and I enjoyed it, though not at the top of the list of operas I need to see again.

I've always thought that Chess seems to work better with a concert-type presentation so that the songs and performers can shine. The story (and stories over the years) seems to be the weak link. $:-\$
