And speaking of chiming clocks (BK mentioned something about that last night), my mom has a few clocks that she doesn't want anymore, so I took one home. I don't yet know where to hang it, but I'll find a place. And here it is:

It has separate winder gears and keys for the time versus the chime. I don't see a lever or knob or anything (yet?) to turn off the chimes, so I expect that I'll need to run the clock and let the chimes run out and only wind up the clock part. My place is too small to not hear the chimes everywhere...it might be loud enough for the neighbors to hear it.

I don't know how loud the chimes are. We didn't get home until after 9:00 or so, so that already was to late to test the volume.

After my grandmother was diagnosed with diabetes, around 1960, she had to learn how to self-inject her daily insulin. This has been my only knowledge of the procedure, but since that was over sixty years ago, I'd guess the procedure isno longer the same.

I have had to give myself weekly injections for my diabetes. Everything is already set up in the pin, which looks like a tube. I place the tube on my stomach, unlock it, hit a button and several seconds later (about 5 or 6), it’s done. I don’t have to measure anything. I don’t have to deal with air bubbles.
