DR ChasSmith, we are in Wheaton, not far from the areas you mentioned.  It’s becoming quite familiar to us, now that the kids have been here for almost 6 years.

Halloween morning greetings!  We’re in Chicagoland for grandson George’s baptism on Sunday.  We came early enough to help get ready for the festivities and to enjoy trick or treat tonight with Charlotte and Hannah.

Lucky you getting to trick or treat tonight.  Have a wonderful weekend.

For this visit we’re staying in a hotel a couple of miles from the kids’ house.  The other grandparents arrived last night and an aunt & uncle will also be here and they’re all staying with them.

I think you will enjoy having hotel breaks from all of the activity

BK had success microwaving a hot dog. That's good to know, because I wouldn't have thought of doing it. I'll try it and see how it goes.

Maybe I posted this, but I did recently add baked potatoes in the microwave to my bag of tricks, and I love them. They are positively delicious, and we're talking a ten-minute job here.

Baked potatoes is one item I never care for in a microwave.

DR Vixmom said to please give her apologies to the HHW folks that she has been absent.  Her mother is not doing well and will be returning home on Saturday.  Her brother will be staying with her mother to take care of her

Yes, DR Jane.  It’s more comfortable, but pretty costly.
