There is a new jazz Sondheim album out. I'm undecided about it.

The hitherto undisclosed subtext behind "Nobody's Side."

I liked the idea of Chesterfield’s selling CDs well before anyone knew about them.

My German-Canadian MIL uses the word “chesterfield” synonymously with “couch.”

That's interesting. I vaguely think I've heard that before. The word my family always used was "davenport".

TOD: the Theme from Brian’s Song, which brings back memories of the sheet music we had, and hearing my older siblings practice that song all the time.

singdaw, how does that fit with the song "Nobody" sung by Sylvia, saying

"Well, your Nobody called today. She hung up when I asked her name"

I slept rather well until 4:30 or so. After I checked the clock and realized I had 90 minutes before the aarm rang, I spent the time dozing and cuddling with Thatch and Annabelle. At one point, Thatch wandered off to the litter box, the kibble boel, whatever, but after a loud scream and some hissing from Stella, he ran back to bed.

I hope there was nothing really bad going on between Stella and Thatch.

No, thank God.

Bath and kitty cleanup accomplished. No injuries, but I did have to stop Annabelle from doing her reckless dives into what is usually an empty tub.

TOD:

I'm tempted to say everything but I will narrow it down to:

Brian's Song

The Summer of '42.

That was an interesting look at that song! The performers looked very flexible.

It hasn't erased Aaron Tveit's rendition from my playlist, though.  :)

My cold is making its way out of the building. Right now I'm using my willpower to not succumb to the usual cough. I need to pick up more Robitussin DM.

Good news on your cold.  Vibes the cough doesn't settle in.

I had to leave at 7:30 this morning for a medical appointment.  I'm glad we did not switch to Daylight Saving Time all year round or it would have been dark outside.
