It is on the side and not in the front, so no one would ever see it, but it's brand new and should be undamaged, and who knows if something like that could affect the oven itself, so they took that back, too!

Just a few minutes later, the main installer had called his boss and ordered a new oven to be delivered with the dishwasher and fridge when we figure out how to turn off the water.

My mom is going to go to Tumwater city hall of Friday (if they're open ), and see if they know exactly where the water shut-off valve is for that house, if it's not the valve that we found tonight.

Either way, she should be able to schedule someone from the city to shut off the water just before the installers come back...hopefully.

Are you having any pie or cake today?

I am not, but my housemate Shelly will be making a homemade pumpkin pie...made from actual pumpkins, not canned!

The best kind.  I loved my fresh baked pies when I made them.  I usually used Hubbard squash instead of pumpkins.  The people who grew the pumpkins and sold them told me to use the Hubbard squash. 

I've never heard of Hubbard squash.  I'll let her know for next time.

During the sermon, the pastor said that the word "manna," in Hebrew, means "What is it?"

I had to use the utmost self-restraint to keep from yelling out, "FISH?"

Tonight’s Thanksgiving Eve dinner was wonderful. I have been getting together with these friends for 24 or 25 years.

And, quite the repor it was!

Had extra crispy orange chicken - the hot dog just grossed me out - don't know why, but the half order of orange chicken was great and not quite half an order, which was fine. Pill three needs something, light, food-wise, so need to figure that out.

That's too bad about the hot dog, BK.  Not much worse than icky hot dogs.
