You don't have to spend a lot of money on a Nativity set. This one is quite ap-PEAL-ing. But it may not last the full 12 days of Christmas.

Earlier in the week, when trhe chill became unbearable, I opened the radiator gauge. No heat, and I've had no heat for most of the week. So, yesterday morning, I finally called the building maintenance and reported the problem. Around 4:30 yesterday, a very nce repairman showed up, checked my radiator and advised me that the problem was not in my radiator but an issue in the basement, which could not be repaired until Monday. So, last night the temperature dropped around 6:00 or so to a level I found mpossible to live with, and by 6:30 I decided to go to bed. The cats and I bundled up for a long winter's night with two bathroom breaks. The alarm rang at 6:00 this morning, and we've been taking our time to get here.

Mel Torme recorded one of my favorite Christmas albums. Here’s his swinging version of Good King Wenceslas.
