Today is the fifth anniversary of Rebecca Luker's death. This is my favorite live recording of her.

That was lovely, Larry.  Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed reading about DR VIXMOM's day and DR GEORGE's day.

Thanks, Jrand!

Today I'm taking my DIL and Grandson shopping. Should be a madhouse.

I would not want to shop today.  Good luck.

Today, Shelly and I went to Costco and had a hot dog (for her) and a calzone (for me).  Shelly wanted to get a 2-pack of flannel pajama bottoms that my sister wanted, but Costco was totally out of them.  Shelly picked out a pajama set instead.  Hopefully, my sister will like that.

Then we went to Fred Meyer for things that still we needed, then I dropped Shelly at home and went back to Fred Meyer for a couple of things that my sister needed and brought those to her.

Supposedly the lights are so dense, you can see them from outer space.

While there, I installed a new light fixture over her kitchen sink, but I forgot to take a picture. ::) Then, I finally came home and Shelly is baking chocolate chip cookies with walnuts!  One of my most favorites (but they're for Christmas day)! :D

Tony Walton's perfect set for Grand Hotel.
TOD: I'll go with the set for Sunday in the Park with George. Though I just saw the Broadway production on TV, that's the first time I really remember a set from a show.

I agree with both of these.

I spent many years at Actors Theater of Louisville as both patron and usher. Their sets were a wonderful mix of realistic and representational. For Morning’s at Seven, the kitchens had running water, plus realistic trees. For The Play’s the Thing, it was art deco sleekness, a chaise longue bathed in warm light. A Christmas Carol changed every year, my favorite incorporating a giant book through which the characters came to life.

Very cool!

Also the day I finally gave birth to a baby boy after four and a half days of labor pains.

I actually slept last night making that the third night of sleep in a row.  As a result my energy returned today and my eyes are functioning fairly well.  Thus I am finishing all of the work I have left on my desk to complete.  It feels good to be functioning :)

That's great, Jane!
