SLICING, DICING, AND MINCING
« on: December 24, 2025, 12:34:41 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sliced, diced, and especially minced, and now it is time for you to post until the slicing, dicing, and mincing cows come home.

I slept well. I had two very vivid dreams, although I no longer remember the first one now. In the second, I was sitting in a New York bar in the early 1930s. I was dressed in a suit and tie, sitting at a table with another man I hardly knew. I had been brought to this bar by a coupler of people I knew to meet a singer or see her perform. The friends had stepped out and never returned.

From my chair, I could see a bit of the basement where a lot of commotion - possibly involving Prohibitiom - was going on, but I could not see any of the people making the commotion. I barely spoke to the man with me at the table; I was thinking of some way to remove myself gracefully from the situation. I do not remember what caused us to be outside on the street, but I was afraid the man at the table was going to mu me and steal my wallet. Amd I woke up.

DR George, I am so envious of your household skills. Your sister's ceiling light looks great.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan is giving his last mass at St Patrick's Cathedral today. Good riddance to the smarmy Rethuglican. I always found him oily and insincere.

I never liked him.

Yes, I meant to comment on George's photos, too.  Really nice!

Glad y’all enjoyed the photos. The main lights were strung across a copse of oaks around the electric cooperative. My dad used to work for a consortium of electric cooperatives.

Here’s a tiny bit about the lights, once you get past the sponsors.
