I had their Poutine Sidewinders, which are "Crispy Sidewinder fries topped with cheese curds and brown gravy."

The Poutine Sidewinders were pretty good, and I actually didn't finish them, but I did order an extra side of the gravy, which made them even a little better. :)

The real problem is that even though there were only five people in our group, and the place was busy but certainly not packed, it took about 50, count 'em, FIFTY minutes to get our food! :o

We weren't too concerned because we had no time restrictions/limitations and they were going to be open for many more hours, but still that was much too long to bring any group their food. :P

So, we waited and chatted (the real reason we get together), and then eventually got and ate our food.

I don't remember what everyone had, but one woman who ordered a steak thought that hers was really good.

I think that everyone else's food was not too bad, but not really special...so, not a bust, but not a new delicious discovery to be revisited anytime soon.

Samayra Coffee looks good.

It wasn't too bad.  It really is just a coffee shop with a few food choices, but the choices are locally produced and better than average.

That makes a difference.  Keith judges coffee shops by their coffee while I judge them by their hot chocolate.

I had the Nog and it was really good:

I don't think Keith would want that.  I wouldn't.  I can see why you would like it, and I would be willing to taste it :)

I definitely would let you taste it, Jane.

I'm meeting up with my high school friends for our quasi-monthly dinner together.  We reconnected at our 40th high school reunion last year and have been dining and just having good times.

Until later!

Have fun as you always do.

Thanks, Jane!  I did!

I wouldn't mind eating at Plaza Jalisco's again.  It was good and I have been craving Mexican food.

Let me know when you're back in the area!

I'm happy we missed our Christmas storms by being on the east coast. Lick Observatory near us was significantly damaged when one of the telescope shutters tore off and crashed onto the roof of the great hall. We have a singer friend who works up there so her Christmas didn't go quite as planned.

Oh, my goodness! :o
