Oh, and after the six pages I've done, I needed a break so at about 3:45 I sat on the couch like so much fish. I went out like a light and when I woke up it was six-twenty already. I was supposed to leave at six. Say what? I was out the door by 6:25 and to the theater by 6:40.

Back from a really fun first time back in two weeks. We spent the first hour getting used to the stage, just with the opening number. Then we ran everything but the last fifteen minutes of the show. Everyone off book, some line calls, I changed my mind on where one musical number happens and that worked so much better, and then the courtroom scene, which is the final location of the play, I had to move where I had the judge - couldn't see her from everywhere in the theater - an easy fix.

Sounds like a great, productive time - hooray!

Glad to hear that MR BK's rehearsal went well.

I am loving all the links and cartoons today.

Since everyone is talking about the Rooftop Singers, I must tell you that their female member, Lynn Taylor, put out an LP of Arthur Schwartz songs in 1958 that is to die for.

Arthur Schwartz has long been a favorite of mine

Here’s a taste of Lynn’s angelic voice.

I thought this corner cutting board was kind of a neat idea.

You can put a wastebasket under it to swipe up all of the debris.

That's so cool!

That's great, BK!

So, my mom and I went to the local casino and at first, I spent $20 of my own money and lost it, of course.  Mom gave me $100 and I played until this happened:

As soon as I finished the notes, I had thirty minutes until posting, so I wrote four more pages for a total of ten. I think that's a good number at this point, as I'm still feeling my way through this new territory I'm in. Thirty pages so far.

Thanks, R!  I'm sure that I'll go back with my mom, but I absolutely don't expect that to happen again.
