Got fourth graders today. Neighboring teachers had to come in to quiet them down. More children who find it physically impossible to stop talking.

It is difficult being a short time substitue teacher.

I watched three episodes of HAPPINESS recommended this week by DR FREDDIE.

It was most enjoyable!

A lot of the heroes in movies written/directed by Sam Fuller were named Griff.

Just like Billy Wilder had a character with the last name Sheldrake in several movies.

It was quite windy this morning. Things have settled down considerably wind wise.

Today at the gym a couple gifted us "The Book of Charlie: Wisdom from the Remarkable American Life of a 109-Year-Old Man" by David von Drehle.  After reading the book they felt we would like it and purchased a copy for us.  They also gave one to our neighbor/friends that go to the gym at the same time we do.  Conveniently the woman and I were next to each other on the treadmills when she gifted them to us.

Keith has started the paperback.  I put a hold on the book at my library.  The print on the paperback is small and light.

After a couple of days of gray and gloomy weather (which left us a little bit of rain, for which we are very grateful), it is cold (for us) and sunny.

I am headed for the LA area for a meeting tomorrow. I am going to walk to the airport. Well, to the public transportation that will take me to the airport. It's about 2.5 miles.

I hope you aren't carrying too much for your trip since you have to walk to public transportation.

I may have a major rant when I get home. So you can look forward to that.

Definitely OK with a major rant, if it's warranted!

I’m now waiting for some Greek food before ushering for Shin Yun, not my favorite event of the year. But we are told we need to work at least one performance.

And speaking of the name "Kevin," this YouTube video short just came through on my feed:

why the name Kevin is so hated in France

:o

Good thing I'm not planning to apply for a job in France!   I also read that "Kevin" is looked down upon in Germany.

I'm going to watch Ann Hampton Callaway's livestream from 54 Below in a few minutes.  Her sister, Liz, is her special guest.
