Had the Caesar salad with some Good Seasons Eyetalian dressing, which I thankfully had here.

Old fashioned corkscrew, electric, or something else?

Corkscrew with what is called a waiter’s elbow.

Actually, screw cap.

The egg salad has been made. It tastes good, but needs to sit overnight.

Talked with my sister earlier. Turns out we’re both reading the same book: Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy.

Seven pages so far. I think I can make ten by the end of the evening - that's the most I've written since day one.

If I do three or four more pages, I can end the chapter I'm on.

I ordered a Caesar salad a while ago - that tiny Caesar without Caesar dressing was just irritating.

I would like to return.  From here we could drive to the ferry.  It is ferry rides I don't like as I often get seasick.

Where I live is right near the ferry terminal. On a calm day on the ferry, you won’t even know you’re on a boat.

Watched an enjoyable 1970s low-budget film directed by Henny Youngman’s grandson or son.

Not much to it, but good scenes all over 1976 Manhattan and a bunch of actors who would go on to bigger careers.

Judy Kahan as a bike messenger in love with Tom Berenger. John Heard her platonic interest. Jill Eikenberry, Christina Pickle.

DR singdaw I have been meaning to ask you how all of your new hires are doing?

They are doing pretty well and are all independent now. But there are dependability/attendance issues. That seems to be the way with young folks nowadays.

I haven't been out unplanned in over 8 years.

Oh, my!

There were actually three people in the theater, including myself.

That's quite a crowd, given your recent movie-going history.

Agreed. :-\

As a concessionaire, I've had to open a lot of bottles over the years, and when you only have a 15 minute intermission and a huge wine drinking crowd, those new-fangled screw tops are a blessing! ;D

That reminds me that I have some egg salad that's been sitting overnight (in my fridge, at least) for several nights.

Very cool.  Are you (or your sister) enjoying it?

I like most Caesar dressings, so I usually order extra on the side. :)
