I also like having automatic payments for bills, such as water, power, etc.

I have too many trust issues for automatic payment of variable bills, but everything gets direct deposited or paid electronically wherever possible.

I have a lot of that distrust. My home and auto insurance premiums are on autopay, as is my Verizon. I only allow it where there's a real discount involved or I'm coerced into in some other way. Everybody else wants autopay payments, but they ain't getting 'em.

I do. Don’t know my phone number, but can call out. If I go over to Canada I think I switch to a different carrier too.

That's funny you don't know the number.  Once you have phone service back on you might try calling your cell to see if it identifies the number.  It would be helpful to be able to call it if your cell phones aren't working

We finally gave up our land line.  I couldn't hear what anyone was saying when I did use it.
