She went to lunch with a friend who asked her how the interview had gone.

The young blonde woman said: Great. I was hired and I'm already working on a murder case!

Also, I'm very pleased last night's preview went well. It's too bad the audience wasn't larger. When I was doing the cabaret act "Just Good Friends," 1981-83, it was impossible getting friends to come. I believe most of our meager crowds came from our appearances on Fred Goldhaber's WBAI FM program and benefits for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. The interview in Blueboy magazine helped, but not much.

We have a theater group at the center where I usher. For their free preview,they usually invite the ushers. There are more than 300 of us. The first time, it was fairly packed. Now it's down to 30 or less.

Wow...that's a huge drop!

Circle K was having a promotion today. I got gas for 40 cents off, so I paid $1.99 a gallon. It cost $21 plus for almost 11 gallons of gas.

Starting Materialists. I loved Celine Song’s Past Lives. I’m undecided on this one, but I am only 15 minutes in.

I think it’s because I don’t like Dakota Johnson. I don’t find her interesting enough to be the foundation of a movie.

And to have Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal interested in her strains credulity.

Well, I finished Materialists. It’s a sweet, unsurprising romance that is nice. It’s definitely a movie for women. No on-screen villains. Not much drama. But there are moments when you can imagine fans of Chris Evans swooning. Celine Song has given him lines everyone would love to hear someone say to them sometime.

So on Instagram (is anyone else on Instagram?), I follow theaidsmemorial where people post stories and pictures of loved ones who have died of AIDS.  The stories are sad, inspiring, and everything in between.

Anyway, a few days ago, a story was posted about a man named Mark Milano who died very recently.  But what I thought was pretty cool is that in the second picture of this set of photos:
