Is anyone watching Bookish on PBS? I really like it. Mark Gatis, who wrote Sherlock and played Mycroft, wrote Bookish and plays the lead. I love the 1940s London streetscape and some unconventional lifestyles.

As for Other Things, the painter is about halfway through. We have an interesting relationship:  I carefully explain what I want, then he does whatever he wants. I’ve been trying to somehow get through it and just get the work done. I’ve already cut back on the projects I was planning to give him, but I’m not at all sure I won’t have to switch painters. He knows a lot, but he wants things done his way, despite my initial and up-front specifications. Sigh.

I'm sorry.  I hope he is at least neat.

As for Other Things, the painter is about halfway through. We have an interesting relationship:  I carefully explain what I want, then he does whatever he wants. I’ve been trying to somehow get through it and just get the work done. I’ve already cut back on the projects I was planning to give him, but I’m not at all sure I won’t have to switch painters. He knows a lot, but he wants things done his way, despite my initial and up-front specifications. Sigh.

WTH??  He's not going to be living there, so what's his problem??

I've been texting Bryan about Freyja's birthday gift.  I narrowed it down to getting her stroller for her stuffed animals & toys.  I sent him a text with a photo of one I was looking to compare the one she had seen and liked at the toy store.  His reply...

"Freyja saw your text.  She likes the ones at the store better"

Yes, he is neat. And the guys working for him are doing a good job. He’s a good painter aside from ignoring my speculations.

He prefers to do things the way he’s used to. Most of us do, but I was very clear from the start that he had to use a special paint, due to my allergies.

We watched it.  Since it was six episodes 20 minutes each, we found it was easy to just watch in one sitting.

Oh, I know about paint issues.  Many painters don't like using the special paints as they don't work as well.  Fortunatelly I do well enough will regular Miller Paints.
