I like "Sand in My Shoes," which I just heard for the first time. It takes part of the "Boardwalk" chorus to create the melancholy effect of looking back on better days.

Next was last night's VERONICA MARS. Good show with some great retracings of the season-long mystery via nightmares Veronica was having. Helped me put the season in great perspective.

Then watched a funny SCRUBS episode from last night. SCRUBS has not done especially great in the ratings this year, but I've read that if NBC cancels it, ABC will pick it up pronto (the show is actually produced by Disney/Touchstone, a parent of ABC).

With changed from Daylight Savings last week. Usually it is a week or so earlier. As with the USA, not all States adopt Daylight Savings.

LOST had an intriguing episode with a nice backstory and some interesting occurrences. And "Henry Gale" continues to be an enigmatic, chilling character.

Also the sick rumour of them REMOTE possibility of ABD picking up Days... IMHO, that would be a wild hair.

Maybe you can clarify something for me. I remember John Astin was originally the cop in Cabot Cove, and I seem to recall when he left the show (I think to be on some sitcom or something) on his final episode HE actually turned out to be the murderer. Do I remember that correctly?

Thanks for the clarification Tom. My cousin plans on visiting again next year. This time they really do want to make it to Brisbane... THey had amost wonderful time in Melbourne and Sydney. They really enjoyed the hospitality of the Australians!!

He was actually a real estate agent early in the run and was in several episodes as Harry Pierce trying to turn Cabot Cove into a tourist attraction. Later on, when Amos Tupper (Tom Bosley) decided to retire, Harry took on the job, and he was indeed the murderer in that episode which, of course, was the last time he was seen on the show. Amos' retirement only lasted that one episode.

As for the IDOL results show, first let me say I DESPISE these hour length shows. Tonight, though, I didn't want to speed through it quite as much as usual because I wanted to see the tributes to each of the finalists. They were all very touching and brings such humanity to each of them. They seem to be a bunch of really nice people.

Once again, I was bitterly disappointed in one of the bottom three singers. This singer did not deserve to be there, and once again, I helped keep him/her from elimination by constant phone calls. The one who was eliminated tonight deserved to be gone, and I shed no tears for this performer. This person actually should have gone a couple of weeks ago.

And I think the other one I haven't yet referred to in the bottom three will be gone next week unless a miracle can be pulled off. Of course, doing those song standard should give all of the singers an ample chance to show off REAL singing. I'm looking forward to their choices.

No, just that one time as the sheriff. He was on several other episodes, of course, but not as a policeman. Ron Masak played the sheriff after Tom Bosley left the series.

Well, where have I been, you might rightly ask? And the answer is more who has been here than where I have been. I've had COMPANY. And they ran me ragged, then work got hot, etc. And the thing I find is I hate to dive into this HHW until I'm caught up, and every day you miss, by gum, you miss a lot, so I just want to give vibes to all my friends here and hope that everyone is making it through. Well, I think I'm going to call it a night and go read a little more of To Kill A Mockingbird. I haven't read it in years and am really enjoying it. I've recently seen both the play and the movie, but the book has a lot more in it.

April 22 is the big shindig with "Scout" and the showing of the movie on the big screen at the Orpheum. I've only seen it on my TV, so that should be pretty cool .

Rodzinski, I only watched the Reds whup the Pirates on the telly, but what kind of wins? 11 to 9 and such. The Reds better find some pitching pretty soon unless they're expecting to score a dozen runs each game.

I did take in the local single A minor league team, The Lexington Legends, the other night. Great box seats right behind the visitors doughout. It was a great night for baseball and the Legends won.
