Are you being facetious or are you just rubbing it in that you CAN see it?

Talked to DR jhvw tonight. Sounds like he had a very interesting and productive day in Minnesota today. It's about a future potential job. He has possibilities all over the place..I'm really proud of him. Anyway, now that his work portion of the trip is over, he can have fun the rest of the time.

FABULOUS.

[If I don't use that adjective at least twice a week, I run the risk of having to turn in my "card."]

Not to mention your toaster!  :)

The soup has been put through the blender, in batches, on liquify (bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!), and is now in the downstairs chillchest to, well, chill.

This would not be a good time to take a nap.  The idea is to have a chilled soup, not ice cubes.

Isn't this interesting?

Little red x in a little white box?

No, our esteemed BK is not a redhead.

Speaking of avatars, I can't see BKs new one, but when are we going to get a photo avatar or just a photo of DR Singdaw?

BK, I reuploaded the avatar, so if you re-edit your profile and pick the avatar that's named "Blond-and-sassy" (the one with the hyphens), everyone should be able to see it...I hope. :)

I guess it is the Bach that frightens you off A Whiter Shade of Pale Michael. It's often bach that keeps people awake. (I know that's obscure but DRs Elmore  and Jose will know the reference to the Cantata)

???  Honestly, I have not one picture of myself.  Perhaps a DR will assist when the clan gathers in NYC early this summer? :)

I was not really listing American Pie as "Flower Power"era - just the imagery used. Perhaps I should have listed "Lucy in The Sky"

McLean's song really speaks to people who were teenagers when Buddy Holly died.  I really do remember the news that day.

"She's Not There'' was from 1964 - more a "British Invasion" song.

Of course T"urn Turn Turn" has a history that is almost as old as TCB

And here I thought the video of the book banning would be the talk of the town.

I watched your clip, DR MBarnum.  This kind of prosletising irks me no end...

Well, I'm off.  I'm working concessions for "Comedy Underground in the Box" at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, featuring Brad Upton and two special guests.  It should be a very funny evening! ;D

Until later!

DR MusicGuy, when you were given your "membership card," didn't you also get a free toaster for joining the club?  A la Ellen in her "coming out" episode?

I have a great love of the Flower Power type of songs, in fact that is one of my favorite era/type of song...such as:

Mr Tamborine Man - Byrds

Happy Together - Turtles

Incense And Peppermints - Strawberry Alarm Clock

Monday Monday - Spany & Our Gang

MONDAY, MONDAY is NOT Spanky and Our Gang

I never know who is familiar with "Sleepers Awake" as the source of Whiter Shade. Musicians mostly I guess.

They did do a cast recording of GONE WITH THE WIND.  I know Harve Presnell was on it, but I don't know (or care) about the female lead.

I can't help it if I have to read the posts 8 hours after everyone else!

One of my damp but undamaged packages today was the LP of The Drowsy Chaperone.  I can't find the serial #, perhaps some DR can give me a clew where to find it.  But it does prominently say SECOND PRESSING on the back in the bottom left hand corner.
