BK--since you're leaving NY Sunday morning, I take it you're not interested in the Broadway Flea Market?

Like DR George, I'm used to working on Saturdays, but not tomorrow.  That's why I'm up so late--usually I start at 5 or 5:30 am on Saturdays.

Topic of the Day:

In my CD player:  the original Broadway cast recording of Goldilocks, starring Elaine Stritch; and then the original off-Broadway cast recording of Dames at Sea, starring Bernadette Peters.

Is this a theme day at work?

Jane, go to you account and then click on "edit friends" - that will bring up your entire friend list and there you will have the option of nuking anyone you like.

Did I just read BK answering a tech question?

Ginny, have fun in Orlando. When do you get back? I can't remember if you'll be there when I head towards Columbus.

Thanks, DR Edi!  We'll be back late Wednesday evening - I'd love to meet you for coffee or something!

Thanks, also to DRs John G, MBarnum, Cillaliz, Jose, Jeanne, and Jane for the travel vibes!

Awww, DR Ginny, I'm sorry I missed this! I am glad this lousy week is over, although I still expect more fallout on the Jerk Diva Tenor.

And here's some gossip: I've been wondering why the Oaf Above me has been so quiet this week between midnight and 4am. His dad's staying in the apartment. I saw him walking the dog today. I have no idea what's going on.

Maybe you managed to finally kill the Oaf.

I love the Flea Market, but I must get home early Sunday - we announce a new release Monday morning, plus have a rehearsal that day, so I have to catch up with everything.

Well, it's time for me to leave work and go home.  This weekend, I have some DVDs to copy for some Dear Readers!

Until later!

I think dear reader Laura should do a book of her photographs, entitled Today I Saw... Do it, do it now - the time is nigh.

Wow, I found evidence of two upcoming productions of The Brain from Planet X - one in New Jersey one in Winipeg in 2011.

Good Evening!

Since I had ended up being cooped up in my apartment for most of the day, I decided to head out for a nice long walk earlier.  I headed over to Broadway and ended up walking down to 93rd Street to Advent Lutheran Church where a Twitter-friend of mine, Kim Giordano, was giving a voice recital. And it turned out to be quite a nice recital. Songs by Bellini, Schubert, Schumann and Canteloube were on the first half, and the second half consisted of Hundley, Mollicone and Sondheim.  -And it turned out that the composer, Richard Hundley, was in attendance.

And then I walked back home.

Today marked the final episode of the what was the longest running dramatic show. As The World Turns stopped spinning after 54 years on the air and 13,858 episodes. La grande dame Helen Hughes passed only 6 weeks before the final episode was taped. She was on the first episode

DR Matthew - Have you checked out the Sunset Blvd. clips from the Arvada Center with Ann Crumb and Kevin Earley on YouTube and/or Playbill.com?  The singing is fine, but those strings! :-\
