I was looking at a nice chair at the Goodwill on Friday....tomorrow is Senior Day which means 30% off - if it is still there tomorrow, I'm going to buy it.

One nice thing about writing fiction is that it's a fairly solitary activity. No actors who drop out, no drama queen singers. Just you and the page. Then again, that can be quite frightening!

I enjoyed the discussion here earlier about miniature horses as comfort animals. The reason for a horse rather than a dog is that is you're blind or unable to walk you can just ride it?

Impromptu gathering is done and was grand fun - most of the Wacky Noodles was eaten, along with the remainder of the tuna pasta salad, and I'd gotten a dozen donuts from K's and most of those are gone.

Watching a half-hour program on Rosemary Clooney narrated by Carol Burnett. Great clips. Her voice on her TV show was even more powerful than I think her records allowed her to show.

I'm starting up the film Colette. I don't know her work, except that Gigi was based on a story of hers. And I don't generally like Keira Knightley. But this one does have some promise, even if the plot seems like a late 19th century version of the Glenn Close movie, The Wife, which I just saw.
