The smell is wonderful. J.B. loves it.

While cooking I started listening to Mel Brooks read his autobiography. It's highly enjoyable. I loved the story of how he got to see the original Anything Goes when he was 9 years old.

Well, since I'm not going to Hawaii, I can judge the San Antonio Barbecue competition.

I've done about five pages so far. Now I shall be on my way to put gas in the motor car and then I'll mosey on over to Ruth's Chris for a fine dining adventure, after which I shall return and write seven to ten more pages.

If I listened to audio books I would want to listen to this one.

Watching an episode of Maigret with Bruno Cremer. It's based on the most recent mystery I've read, so this should be fun. I wish they had not changed the titles from the books to the episodes. The book was "Maigret and the Tall Woman." The show is "Maigret and the Burglar's Wife." In the book, they weren't exactly married.

Either way, both begin with a flashback of Maigret arresting the tall woman in her bedroom where she's nude and in bed. That doesn't stop him. His men wrap her in a sheet and carry her off.

My traveling companion isn’t up to the trip. And I really need to wait two weeks because of the tooth.

Southwest canceled the ticket. I have the cost on hold for a few months.

It was supposed to reach 67 today. It barely made it to the upper 50s. Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 79. We’ll see.

Lihue is canceled. We may go to Maui later this year.

Maui is nice.  It is the only island I have been to.  I hope one day to see another island or two.

Did someone say Tacos?

I keep seeing these Taco Bell ads in which people seemingly meant for one another just about meet when one of them has a Taco attack and leaves for a Taco Bell.  But they never eat tacos.  They eat burritos.

Is Taco Bell going to become Burrito Bell?

For supper, I had a bowl of French Onion soup and some French bread.

I like to surf the internet for about an hour before going to bed, but my eyes are getting rather heavy.

Tonight, I shall endeavor to sleep in my bed, rather than my recliner.  I am able to breathe through my nose this evening!!!

The question is how long will it last?  I haven't slept through a complete night in my bed in nearly two months.

Oddly enough, my Aunt Doris never slept in her bed.  She slept in her recliner every night for years and years and years.  She said she couldn't breathe lying flat on her bed.  I suggested she might need a CPAP, but she would have none of it.

I think I can trace my last full night of sleeping in my bed to the night before she died.

Is this some sort of transference?

Sleep vibes, Ron. I know all too well how frustrating a lack of sleep can be.

Jrand, I think I liked most sci-fi movies without thinking the trailer promised more than the movie delivered.

Back from a really fun belated birthday dinner with Sami and her mom at Ruth's Chris. More about it in the notes. Also, put gas in the motor car. And now, back to writing.
