...oh, and I came home to a wonderful voice message from Mr. Tony Russel (star of WILD, WILD PLANET and HONEYMOON ITALIAN STYLE) wishing me a very happy holiday and letting me know how wonderful he thought his interview I did with him turned out, which is published in the current issue of VIDEO WATCHDOG ( on newstands now)...that message made me very, very happy!

Well, since I actually got up early today - early for me at least, 8:30am - and since I'm hoping to get an early start back up 95 - I want to avoid as much of the mall and outlet traffic as I can...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day, and let us all continue to have wonderful days - whether or not it's Christmas.

Goodnight.

I just watched ELF, which I hadn't seen snce its initial release, and I enjoyed myself immensely.  Alas, I cannot figure out the menu so I know neither how to watch the film with commentary nor where to find the additional scenes.  Damn!

I'll worry about it tomorrow.

Hello!

I'm back from my evening out. First things first: no date. He couldn't make it. We still had a quite fun time with the four of us at the dinner (not counting the two kids). She had a shrimp pasta that was very good and unlike anything I've had before. Also baby asparagus which was great. And cheesecake with raspberry sauce for dessert. Yum!

After dinner, we got to talking about, of all things, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. Even though it's more than a year old now, I've never seen it. Heard about it, of course, and the concert tour of it played here this week, but I never had seen it, so, out comes the DVD, and I finally got to see HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.

Not a bad little show, and I would have killed for something like this to have been out when I was taking singing and dancing lessons amid jeers and taunts from my schoolmates.

I had about 40 minutes before coming upstairs once I got home, so I watched some of the special features on the MEDIUM disc. One was an overview of the entire season done after the season wrapped. Very nice inside information about the making of some of those episodes.

Another featurette dealt specifically with the making of the 3-D episode which I found very interesting.

And, of course, I watched the gag/blooper reel. Lots of fun seeing different sides of the actors than we noramlly see in the episodes.

Some how, Matt, I think we still would have had to put-up with those jeers and taunts from our schoolmates.

Probably so, but at least there would have been something to point to and say that here was someone who was an athlete AND a singer/dancer. (And, of course, the entire basketball team showed its dance moves a couple of times during the film.)

I forgot to mention yesterday that at the first party I went to, I saw my friend's daughter who helped out on the Rupert Holmes thing up in NY. She said she really enjoyed talking to BK on the telephonic device and that the people in NY were very nice to deal with. I didn't know that this had worked out until yesterday, so I was happy about that and appreciate that they used her...she's a great girl!

the current issue of VIDEO WATCHDOG ( on newstands now)...

...is apparently impossible to find in Atlanta. Are there any chain stores that might carry it here, MBarnum?

Merry Christmas!!

I just stopped in while Keith and Bryan are playing a Play Station game.  Kate, Bryan's girlfriend is watching and enjoying laughing at Keith's skills (he keeps crashing his motorcycle.  Earlier we watched a DVD from the Basil Rathbone complete Sherlock movie collection we received from Bryan and Kate.

Back from the Wechter party and a splendidly splendid one it was, filled with nice folks and great food - I don't think I overdid it but it sure feels like I did.

edisaurus, Laura did a GREAT job and I'm hoping that she'll become my new NY assistant when I do projects there.  A delight, really proactive and smart, too, and I couldn't have been more pleased - and Rupert and his assistant felt the same way.
