Car free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Car free to follow your heart

Walk free and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star

Stroll free, where no walls divide you
You're free as the roaring tide
So there's no need to hide

Car free, and life is worth living
But only worth living
'Cause you're car free!

Appetizers - I'm hooked on coconut shrimp, and seared ahi.

I'm not so sure what I would list as finger food.

And, while I definately love good hot and spicy food, I've never gotten into Buffalo chicken wings.  For the life of me, I can't say why.

Although I was raised in New England and have been eating lobster since the age of three, Boiled lobster and lobster pie were as far as I ever went and I was the only one in the family who refused to eat fried clams. But thanks to a gift certificate from work at Christmas, I tried lobster bisque for the first time and I'm hooked. I'll be going to Red Lobster tomorrow(Hello, Joe Queenan) and am looking for  a simple recipe. The first one  I saw involved a half  dozen crunchy veggies which wasn't wht I was looking for.

I don't really think there's such a thing as a "simple" recipe for Lobster Bisque, however...  You will need the crunchy veggies to form the base of the soup.  And they will either get set aside after being "sweated" or pureed into the bisque.

I did indeed bring Ye Olde Laptop and they do indeed have Ye Olde Wireless, so here I am.  This will be fun - live, on location.  Haven't been to this studio since Nudie Musical - it's quite different.  We're not in the same studio, but right next to it.

DR Singdaw - thanks for the link about Jim Dale.  I haven't read any of the HP books with my eyes, but have listened to all of them.

When we were in NYC in January 2006 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, DH Richard and I toured the studios of Recorded Books, Inc.  From observing that process, I suspect that several people know the outcome of the HP series.  In fact, I just heard someone from our book processing department say something about "scanning Harry Potter books."  They were required to sign a confidentiality statement.

Here are some interesting factoids from my library about the new book:

Audiobook on cassette:  46 on order, 84 reserves
Audiobook on CD:  98 on order, 198 reserves (I'm #116)
Book:  84 on order, 946 requests

That book figure is misleading, because there are probably several hundred on order for the Friday night parties at 5 of our locations.  Here's how that's gonna work:

Harry Potter - Celebrate the End

The records for those books will be added to the catalog Saturday or so.

I didn't hear rain last night, DR MusicGuy. I stood out in it and barely got damp.

When I have picky kids around, I make something I call Finger Salad, which you can eat with your fingers.

You have come to the right place, DR Brian.  I am sure one of our first-class chefs here will have a good recipe.

Well, I guess I was a little late with that advice.  I should have known that Jose would be of assistance (in one way or another).

Did anyone else read the story about the man who swam at the North Pole for almost nineteen minutes on Sunday?  He says it was to make a point about global warming, but he tends to do these swims all around the world.  Interesting man!

JRand please rethink watching The Closer with Orson Bean.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised with his performance, we were.

You should have another chance to record it today.

I wonder when we will have an announcement from FJL of hopefully very good news?

Also, does anyone know what part BK did in THE LAST STARFIGHTER last year?

Jose, or what about the police.  Are you sure the car won't be towed away sitting there without plates?
