Well, you've read the notes, the notes were rather nice, and now it is time for you to post until the rather nice cows come home.

Sounds like the show was fun last night for MR BK - or the before the show was, anyway.  Gross oversight that not EVERYONE who appeared in the original tv show was NOT mentioned.....who was in charge of that, and did they KNOW three people were coming?

Today is a work day.

And then I am traveling 40 miles to my cousin's house to do readings for a list of people.....who knows how long that will take!

Whew.

Make resolutions and start new projects....this is a muse moon.

I had my Full Moon disturbing dream last night - so at least THAT's over.

Saturday morning greetings!  Up early to get ready for a fun day in Oxford, OH.  We're going to Miami's homecoming game to watch DN/goddaughter Lauren do her trainer thing on the sidelines.  Vibes the rain holds off until after it's over  8)

We don't have any "real" delis in Salem, just places that call themselves delis but are really just sandwich shops whose main income comes from lottery gambling machines.

So...I would guess that the best deli I have been to is the one in NYC where I had the Beef Tongue (was it barbecued? I forget). It was good, whatever it was.

Good morning, all! I slept very late and I clearly needed the sleep. Yesterday we had a good - but short - session, which began with the very wonderful and very funny Rose Sullivan, who recorded three German lieder and did some fixes from her last session. Valerian Ruminski was running late, so we recorded the remainder of the piano solo "La coquette," which didn't go well on Monday morning because the hall was so chilly the pianist's hands were too cold to cooperate. Valerian arrived and we did his two Big Numbers. We had recorded five of his solos on Wednesday, but he wanted to hold the hge ones till today. Since our coloratura soprano is suffering from strep throat, she's off the schedule until November 7, so our day was over.

Today, I may have to make a run to the NYPL for some Herbert research as well as a look at Appalachian Mountain song collections. I want to be on top of this meeting tomorrow.

More coffee!

Well, I saw and said hey to Garry so he knew I was there, but who knows if he even remembers I did the show - he knows I did Laverne and Shirley, but Happy Days - I was so early in the run (seasons one and two) and maybe it wasn't mentioned to anyone.  It didn't bother me - whenever I see Anson or Donny or Henry they always remember like it was yesterday.  Tom Bosley was that way, too.

TOD:

Canter's: Corned Beef on Rye.

 ;D

They don't have Jewish Rye Bread here in Austin.

 :'(

And, I think that the only Jewish deli here must be run by goyim.

Best euphemism ever? department:  Betsy's boss, who is approaching official retirement age (though of course like the rest of us will probably never be able to officially retire LOL) received a brochure on gravesites yesterday, which was headlined:  "After Life Care."  ;)

Good morning!

Not much going on--I have to get a haircut (but that only takes 5 minutes for me) and do laundry.

I might look for a TV.  After all, I bought the TV stand weeks ago.
