Plato and Socrates are two of my favorites.  The Trial and Death of Socrates is one I'll still pull out and read from time to time.

Meant to mention that FRONTIER DOCTOR ran one season - 39 episodes.

And this would be the third:

6 episodes of the 1960s comedy/western series PISTOLS AND PETTICOATS filled out the disc...I only got through 2 before giving up. One of my interviewees Dorothy Green appeared in one episode, so at least that was fun. I understand that star Ann Sheridan passed away during the shows run...she looked very ill in the two episodes that I saw.

I can't quote nearly as much philosophy as I should be able to, given my background.  I enjoyed it during college, but i was ready to let it go once I graduated.

Forgive me for that, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I was up during the night last night, suffering from jumping stomach.  As a result, I am a tired puppy tonight.  I might turn in early.  My name is Ann and I am a Wussburger.  So there.

We do have two-and-a-half hours, but given the extreme WUSSBURGERING of these summer months, I doubt we'll go very high.

Dear Esteemed, frustrated, and definitely unsated BK --

I've learned something yet again....the "wussburger" designation is new to me.  Oh dear, I don't stay up as late as I used to, but at least I contributed several answers to the TOD.  I'm contemplating the total oral destruction of a Hagen-Dazs bar, and then toddling off to the sleeping room!  May you dream of latkes and crackerjack shrimp !

I've always been really fond of Des Cartes.  The meditations were some of the most entertaining reading I did during my college years.

"I think, therefore, I am."  Des Cartes

"I'm pink, therefore, I'm Spam."  Anonymous.

Just thought I would come on and give the review of the newest Guy Haines CD, fresh off my mothers lips....

"The CD is just wonderfully romantic and I dont know why some young rich 20 year old girl hasnt listened to it and latched onto him."

I love my mother (:

My DVD purchase of the day - at great expense NOT - "Trapeze".. It's good to go back and visit childhood memories.

Today in the land of OZ  it is pretending to be "Spring".

I've never really understood the "indian summer" concept. Perhaps this is Aboriginal Winter.

We've never adopted the "Native Australian" term for our indigenous people.  In some areas they are now referred to as "Koori" people but I think it really only a reference to "Tribes" from S.E.  Australia.
