I remember AstroBurger from my many days (or is that nights) at Griff's, which is now but a memory, but was then across the street.  Great for feeding the munchies after hoisting a couple of beers.

Good morning, all!  I did not want to get up this morning.  I'm feeling quite lazy.

Outside of dinner plans for tonight, I have some time in the office this morning, perhaps a trip to the post office, and some work for Ms Blackhurst.

Monday morning greetings!  On what should be a workday for me, I have day of medical leave to take my mother to Cincinnati for an appointment with an eye specialist.  We have a couple of other errands, so I will probably be E & T most of the day.

TOD -

Calvin:  "If you could have anything in the world right now, what would it be?"

Hobbes (his stuffed tiger):  "...Hmmm..."

Calvin:  "Anything at all!  Whatever you want!"

Hobbes:  "A sandwich."

Calvin:  "A SANDWICH?!?  What kind of STUPID wish is THAT?!"  Talk about a failure of imagination!  I'd ask for a trillion billion dollars, my own space shuttle, and a private continent!"

Hobbes (munching on a sandwich he's just made for himself):  "I got MY wish."

Good morning all.  I'm at work, but not too awake, hopefully my coffee will kick in soon.

The cats have decided to have a fight every night as soon as I turn off my light to go to sleep.  Last night I had it.  I put Boo - who has become the instigator and attacker - in her room and shut the door.  You'd think I chopped off her leg. They were both extremely upset about that.   As soon as she was calm and quiet for awhile I let her out....right back at it.

I had to do that three times, but finally she just came into my room, jumped on the bed and went to sleep.

The weather here today is beautiful! It's been soooo humid and today the air is much drier. It feels great.  The weather forecast is highs in the 80s all week. The weatherman said you have to go back 3 months to find a week where we didn't hit the 90s.  That's really unusual for here.

Well, I suppose I should don my cape and attempt to do justice.....

I have to think about the TOD.  I read a lot of philosophers in college and sort of took what I liked from several and mentally discarded the rest.....

Of course there's always the philosophy of Bobby McFerrin (not sure that's spelled right)  "Don't worry, be happy"

Good morning!

We're inching back toward near-90 today, so I guess our little fall preview is now at an end. I did enjoy it supremely!

I got to luxuriate one more night with cool outside air and no need for a ceiling fan or central A/C spoiling the fresh air.

Beautiful outside right now, but it is going to get hot. Blah!

Put me down as another HUGE Calvin & Hobbes fan. Really loved it and bought some C&H collections just so I could continue to enjoy them after the talented creator decided to walk away from it after only 10 years.

Other than a new episode of THE CLOSER tonight, I still have no definite plans for viewing today.

I do have MR. AND MRS. SMITH recorded last night, but I'm not ready for another MR. MOTO quite yet. I've got CITY FOR CONQUEST readied for viewing, too, but may hold off on it a few days as well. It's such a downer.

SPeaking of CITY FOR CONQUEST, I was quite surprised watching one of the special features on THINK FAST MR. MOTO to learn about Harvey Parry. He was Peter Lorre's stunt man during the MOTO series and also did stunts for James Cagney in many films as well as serving as his boxing opponents in the four fight films Cagney did. He was even his stand in for RAGTIME. An interesting little featurette though, of course, these mini-documentaries about the unknown talents behind-the-scenes are never long enough for me.

The documentary I watched last night on the THANK YOU, MR. MOTO DVD was about producer Sol Wurtzel, another name I wasn't familiar with but learned some really fascinating information about him in the featurette. Who knew he was head of Fox's West Coast operations for many years? Can't believe I hadn't glimpsed his name in the credits of some of his films, but I hadn't.

The little film also gave some facts about Fox founder William Fox which I didn't know. Very interesting man. A more complete documentary on him is obviously needed.

Let's see....we saw wedding dresses....learned that DRPENNYO lost a red dress....MR BK finished the replacement song....DR vixmom's house "reno" is coming along and The Vixter is in a musical review.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

WOW....things happen quickly around here.

Philosophy.....parts of Objectivism....although I supposed I embrace NO philosophy fully....ankle and thigh and upper half.

I must open my mail....there is a LOT today!  Hurray!
