I wouldn't begin to try to recommend ANY shows or films for you, bk. It hasn't been lost on me that our tastes in television and films are far apart.

For those H/K's so inclined, you may wish to check out your local PBS listings.  A Great Performances profile of Rudolf Nureyev is slated to air this week.  [At least in the NYC area, Wed evening at 10:30 PM]

A new episode of THE CLOSER comes on tonight which I'm eagerly anticipating now that Brenda got her diagnosis last week. Should be interesting to see how that news plays out.

I will continue for the rest of the season to DVR the show SAVING GRACE so that I can fast forward quickly through the parts (the sex scenes, the religious struggles) that don't involve the mystery case.

We could sponsor a contest...

Where in the world is DR Jason?

And, perhaps more importantly...

What was he wearing?

Toyland is now firmly established in its new location.

DR Cillaliz's new practice is firmly established and staffed.

DR JRand57 was cast in The Odd Couple and has learned his lines.

Various good health news for DRs TCB, td's mum.

Plenty more that I just can't think of at the moment.

and ...

we finally got our Fred and Joyce for the Brain ...

bk, Cason, and several other HHWers finally got sublets for the NYC Brainiac Reunion Tour ...

lots of recipes and cookbook ideas are buried in the posts (do you like mac and cheese?) ...

DR Jason is Esther Williams and Frenando Lamas's love child ...

Boo-Key is FJL and Miss Karen's love child from a 1980's Paris fling ...

DR DawTing was errant and truant in NJ and our HHW posting totals dropped significantly ...

Cason discoverd Monkeycake while in the Big Apple ...

and there's more, much more .... stay tuned ...

And I would have stopped in here to pick up some cake and/or a cupcake, but since the line was a bit long tonight...

*Yes, that's Magnolia Bakery at night.

I watched "Prime" yesterday and fell TOTALLY IN LOVE with NYC...again.

You folks living there are SO-O-O LUCKY!  It's amazing how a movie can make a city so large look so appealing.

As I said last night, I'm expecting a couple of Disney Channel DVDs in the mail today. I have that last Charlie Chan movie in the last set to watch. I have MONK from Friday and a couple of movies still on the DVR (SCARY MOVIE 4, THE SLENDER THREAD).

So, I have plenty of things to watch today.

Who can turn the world on with his smile?
Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile?
Well it's you, Jay, and you should know it
With each glance and every little movement you show it

Love is all around, no need to waste it
You can have a town, why don't you take it
You're gonna make it after all
You're gonna make it after all!

;D ... you so funny -- me love you long, long time...

Bummer about your Internet connection, though...   :(

It really sux!  I had been having trouble with both the internet connection and interference on a couple of channels and had Comcast come to fix it a few days before I left.  All the guy did was replace the signal splitters and then give me a story about replacing my analog service with digital (which would be a waste of time since my neighborhood and house are not yet wired for fios.)  They will be getting another call from me today, that's fer shure!

Well it is tomorrow already...so I should go

That totally depends on what today is, doesn't it!

I will be E & T most of the week (yeah yeah what else is new)

Well...I have several new DVDs, and some new CDs.  Oh!  And I have a NEW ATTITUDE....  no...... wait......never mind

 we leave tomorrow evening,

Likewise, this totally depends upon what today is.  Is "tomorrow evening" the day after the "it is tomorrow already" reference?  Or is it tonight?

And it's nice to see DR Jose's birthday jaunt. I am, however, shocked at the omission of Junior's cheesecake.

Well, I suppose the BIGGEST news since you were away is that yesterday, on his birthday, DR JoseSPiano had an opportunity to eat a piece of Junior's cheesecake from the original store location but DID NOT.    :o

And, trust me, I really did want a slice of cheesecake.. especially after seeing everyone else around me order dessert.  However, I really was full after my dinner, which was/is actually a good thing.  Just means my stomach is "smaller".  Or something like that.  If I had ordered a slice, I don't think I could have had more than two or three forkfuls before getting sick.  I was thinking I would get a slice to go, but since I couldn't keep the slice chilled during the rest of my walk...  And then I even thought of stopping by the Times Square location to have a slice there...  Well...  Then once I found that the line at Pinkberry was not that long - and I really wanted something cold (a.k.a. ice cream, frozen yogurt) - well... And they had the mochi too!

However, there's always today.  :)

Surely you meant Snark-O-Gram?   ;)

OH!

The cookie sheet has been put away!

*Of course, I went ahead and properly washed it last night after I had pointed out that it had been sitting in the drying rack for the past two weeks.  -It was still coated in olive oil.  So, at least, it was put away clean.

DR Noel - Thank you for "Fine and Dandy".  The funny thing is is that when I was humming the tune, I was putting the words "fine and dandy" to the first part of the melody, but since I couldn't put/remember words to the rest of the melody, I didn't think it was that song.  Then I started thinking that "Fine and Dandy" had a different tune.  -Must have been the residual tequila.  ;)

While at Ocean City with my family, I managed to avoid most of my former favorite treats (Johnsons Popcorn, Curly's Fries, Kohr's Ice Cream, monkey bread) but I did partake of a new one--the Upcakes freshly made at Dixie Picnic, a wonderful breakfast/lunch place I've never been to.  I was thinking of DR Jose when I ate there.
