I just watched BK's episode of MASH. I enjoyed seeing Bruce. But I just don't enjoy that show and never did. Despite a cast of admirable performers, the show just never seemed that funny even when I was a kid.

Happy Birthday, Michael.

Welcome back, DAW.  Of course, my bout with food poisoning raised nary a concern, but I'm not bitter, oh, no, I'm not bitter.   ;D ;)

MattH and other Ugly Betty fans--my post last night was only meant as a word of encouragement.  I certainly wasn't implying anything--I just thought fans would like to know that the executive producer at least thinks things are good to go. That's all.

Thanks alot for the wishes most appreciated

That explains a lot.  And/or confirms a lot.

The mail is in!

Just arrived, from Amazon:

Mamma Mia (BD)
A Clockwork Orange (BD)
How the West Was Won (BD)
Firefly (not BD)
Serenity (BD)

I think it says something about der B and myself, that every movie that we've collected since Wall-E came out has been on BD, and every television series has been on regular DVD.

And who is this Nick Redman fellow doing commentary with Malcolm McDowell on Clockwork?  Should we know him from somewhere?

...
Good news: my newly-released region-2 DVD of Benjamin Britten conducting the English Opera Group in a BBC tv broadcast of his edition of "The Beggar's Opera" from 1963 with Janet Baker, Heather Harper, and Kenneth McKellar. This is one great version of the 1728 musical, and if I were still directing, I'd do it in rep with "Sweeney Todd," since they're both ballad operas.
Need a director's assistant? I have experience...

And God knows you've been involved with the Britten "Beggar's Opera" before!

Remember how sick I was during the final week of rehearsals?  Bronchitis, I think.

I believe the title of the Herb Ross film was actually THE LAST OF NOVEMBER.

I did a kind of cool medley (if I do say so myself) of Pet's DOWNTOWN with I KNOW A PLACE for my Pops Choir.

I have yet to do an O'Toole medley.

It's a lazy, cocoony day for me at home.  Read a little, watched a little TV, surfed a little and now I will take a little nap.

Good Afternoon!

Well, I've donned my "thermal layer" so that my legs don't freeze-up, and now I believe I shall be heading out for a walk.  A good walk.

OH...

Is anyone really afraid that tonight's SNL which is being hosted by Steve Martin is going to suck?  The past few times that Mr. Martin has hosted, the surprise guests have been much funnier than he has.  Ah, well.

Time for my Bollywood movie....RUSTOM: THE CHAMPION (1985) starring Dara Singh, Tanuja, Hercules, and Master Bittu.

Melodrama about an absent, down on his luck father's relationship with his daughter. There are some disco numbers, I believe.

I have made the contents and placed it in the refrigerator. I will put it in the oven during Beverley Humphreys show (BBC Radio Wales) so it may turn into a hot, tasty dish (just like Jose  ;)) while we listen to the show.
