Good morning, all! I am in poor health today - hence my concerns about selling dad's property - so I could use some health vibes, if you can send soem my direction.
This is another long day and, much as I look forward to it, I wish I felt on top of it as opposed to buried under it. I begin with the McGlinnventory, a trek to Toyland, edits with Mr Skip Kennon, and then a trip to the post office. My building has a new USPS delivery truck driver and, since he never shows up when I'm here so I can tell him it's all right to leave packages at my door, he leaves me slips telling me to come to the post office and pick up the damned goods. So, i have a trip to the post office as well.
Yesterday, when I went to my branch, there was one young lady waiting ahead of me, and it was a long wait because the postal worker took forever along with several social digressions with one of her co-workers. And the postal service claims they're in financial trouble, Well, after waiting 30 minutes or more to buy stamps or post a letter, I look for an alternative, too. I also think my postal branch is the worst in the City for lines, inefficiency, and someone's nepotism in hiring only the verified offspring of two first cousins.
Rock and roll? Because I grew up in the mid 1950s and early 60s, it all sounds pretty much alike to me before the Beatles, but I really do love Buddy Holly. I remember the initial buzz about Elvis and his Ed Sullivan Show appearances, and how so many of my friends were crazy about him, but it completely passed me by.
