This really has thrown a monkey wrench into my plans for today.  And now tomorrow I have to rearrange everything so the helper can do this e-mail stuff.  There's unfortunately no way to do this other than by hand.

That's not correct, BK, especially since you use PayPal.  PayPal makes printing labels quite easy, and you can extract everyone who's paid for a certain item and print their labels just like that.  I've done it before.

It's not labels - it's getting them into the Constant Contact eBlast list.

I shall now be on my way to do a few errands, attend a rehearsal, and then I shall return and eat something fun.

Some telephone calls and getting a later than expected start on lunch kept me from viewing everything I wanted this afternoon. However, the meat loaf turned out wonderfully! It was SO good.

In honor of today's TOD, I cooked some angel hair pasta as my side with the meat loaf.

As I ate my lunch, I watched last night's RAISING THE BAR. I got involved in both cases and enjoyed them. And I enjoyed the "coming out" announcements, especially the last one. The season finale next week should be interesting.

Then I began THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO, but I only got two episodes watched. In the first, an impossibly young Larry Wilcox played a 19 year old running away from an abusive uncle with his younger brother (Barry Livingstone) and sister.

Even that young, Larry Wilcox was sexy!

Jeanette Nolan was also a guest star as a family court judge trying to do the right thing by the kids.

The second had Paul Fix, Denver Pyle, Ruth McDevett, and Burt Mustin as guest stars. No surprise that several of these folks were living in an old age home.

A fair amount of dramatic license was used to get the dramatic portions of the story to work, but it was nice seeing those wonderful character actors once again.

I ended my viewing with today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Lots of Luke, Noah, and Kevin on today's show. (Lucinda and Wheatley finally kissed: ugh!) Nothing in the previews with Luke and Noah.

Sorry for fans of CBS' THE EX-LIST but CBS has pulled it from its schedule. NCIS reruns will fill the slot for the next two weeks followed by a NUMB3RS repeat after that. No permanent replacement has yet been announced.

MattH, the intention, if it edits well, is to release the Kevin and Sean show on DVD.

I love the brunch photos, DerBrucer. I wish I had a wildlife backyard like that.

Well, it's starting to get pricey! The Cardinals have decided that the normal bird seed is beneath them, and they want only the gourmet stuff with nuts and dried berries. The only critters who'll eat the regular seed are the chickadees and the titmice.

Quick question before I leave.  What is the worst reaction you have had to a flu shot?

I have never had a flu shot, so I've never had any reaction.

The writing seems aimed less at evoking acceptance of gay men and more at encouraging gay men to come out- a sign, I hope, of social progress.

Watching the presumably very-straight Jerry urging the very fearful Charlie to come out was nice; and his nonchalant "Charlie's Gay" toast was a neat wrap up.

Oh what a night it was — again. Sean and Kevin wowed the crowd last night at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre with their Los Angeles premiere performance of "Jersey Men." Their energy was high, their voices blended powerfully and the audience — including my ever-lovin' Amy and I — loved it.

Even the post-show pickups that had to be done were a blast. Sean had to redo a portion of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" because of problems with the band, and it was priceless watching BK cut him mid-song and tell him, "Stop, Sean, stop ... our cameraman is in the bathroom!"

Congratulations to the boys, John Randall and the band, director BK and stage manager Adrianna. Can't wait for the DVD!

Heading down now to get a head's start on tonight's viewing to see if I can cram in a few more episodes of STREETS than I did this afternoon.

I finished both EVIL SUMMER and FOR THE THRILL OF IT (written about here by DR CILLA LIZ) and found both books informative.

If you are interested in the Leopold-Loeb case from the planning of the crime to the trial to the rest of the story of the participants - either book is fine....together they are terrific.

The political ads here are getting very vicious.

And I suspect you'll be getting lots of them. The recent polls show the state moving from Obama to McCain - a real toss-up!
