DR DtM the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream is encouraging you to take dance lessons in anticipation of an upcoming event.

Well, I'll take that under consideration though it's a little strange--I already know how to dance but I have no upcoming event where that would be necessary.

Maybe there's some unnecessary dancing coming up in my future?

DR Ben - What are your Wednesday afternoons like the next couple of weeks?  ;)

Oh, I would love to but I'm stuck in the "rathole" until Tuesday, November 25th at 4pm. At that point I am "outta here" as they say until Monday morning, January 5th, 2009. I am counting the weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds!!!

That is another interpretation....yes.  Having Rita in the dream could also mean an upcoming trip to a gambling establishment.

Great photos, DR Vixmom!

By the way, that was a California Condor that soared past me yesterday. We had just given up on seeing a condor. I saw it coming and whipped the camera out of my pocket. I had one quick second to point and shoot. Pure luck.

Great photo, Laura.  Thanks!

I had a dream last night but the only thing I can remember about it was that there was a newspaper story in which I was somehow scandalously linked to Rita Hayworth.  I have no idea where that one came from...
The Onion, perhaps?

TOD:  There used to be a few restaurants that made a really good cheese Tortellini served in a white sauce with peas and bits of ham.  Mm-mm.  Lovely.  There were even a few commercially prepared versions of this on the market for awhile that were yummalicious.  Others used different pastas as the base but kept the sauce with ham and peas.   It's hard to find these days though.

I love good ravioli, good penne, lasagna...all of it.

The Polaroid 37" has returned as is now happily re-installed!  So far so good.  And I didn't even have to ask DR MATTH any questions about cables because I put a label on everything when I disconnected the cables!

So far so good.  And not too bad.....eight days from the time it left my house is it back.  It took longer to get the shipping box than it did to fix and return the TeeVee.

I think I will watch SPEED RACER in HD this evening.

I’m sorry to read of Tony Hillerman’s passing.  DR Jose, thank you for the very interesting link.
Years ago I had the good fortune to attend a function where Hillerman was one of the speakers.

I am now in the basement of the Nashotah House Library while Richard takes Rob on a walking tour of the rest of the campus.  In about an hour, Richard and I will park Rob here to finish a paper he has to email back to UC by tomorrow evening, I'll take Richard to his graduation rehearsal, and I'll go to my favorite shops in Delafield.  It's so cold and windy here that I may have to buy a hat - the coat I brought doesn't have a hood.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up...  And I'm watching "The Doctors" (or "The Drs.") - the TV talk-info show with my Mom.  Too bad they're not talking about diabetes and post-op self-care today. ;)

 ;D  Coping vibes DR Jose.

re: the world series.

I wonder if both teams would rather they just started the game over and played a full 9 innings.

It should definitely be interesting.

I believe I read that they would prefer to play an entire game.

DRs Vixmom & Vixter, lovely happy family photos.

I don’t know about Deborah Norville but I definitely agree with radiant

And our darling schoolgirl returns the newspaper photo.

My DR Vixmom, you are on a roll.  The food photos were loads of fun.

-And if they had stopped the game earlier - like when they grounds crew started sprinkling all that dirt on the field (and before they rolled out the tarp - which was known to be "faulty") - then they would have to do an "do over".

That should be "a 'do over'"!

TOD:  My all-time favorite pasta dish -- when it's done correctly -- is "spaghetti alla carbonara".

Happily for me, a restaurant in Berkeley called "Venezia" does the best carbonara I've had outside of Italia.

I'm also very fond of tortellini and prefer it stuffed with ham or chicken.  Locally, however, it's almost always stuffed with cheese.  I will occasionally find it stuffed with spinach.

I eat virtually all  pasta dishes (except carbonara and pesto)with a Bolognese sauce, which I prepare myself.  I do, occasionally, like something with a bit of heat (alla arrabbiata), but I can doctor my sauce with red peppers to get that effect.

I love mostly the spaghetti or linguine noodles and tortellini with the arrabbiata sauce.

And then there is pesto sauce -- ahhhhhh, heaven.  I prefer it with linguine noodles.  It's also a nice addition to mayo on a turkey sandwich!

DR Jose, my friend Mustafa was in NYC this last several days, unbeknownst to me. He was assisting the National Guard Captain he worked with in Iraq, on an interpreting project.

If I had known of this beforehand I would have had him get in touch with you so that you could show him the sights during his downtime. He did a lot of walking around Time's Square and the rest of Manhattan. He loved it!
