but nothing said today comes close to any of them.

One just might interpret that as a challenge, DR Ron Pulliam, and there are a plethora of DRs who would be only to happy to take up this cause...   :)

Oh, no you don't.  My innocent comment may not be pointed to as Ground Zero for future tacky posts.

I've been our running errands with JoAnn, including a trek to the larget supermarket I've ever encountered.  After that we stopped for lunch, and I had the best chicken pot pie I've encountered since Barrymore's closed.

DR Ginny, I didn't think about the Easter weekend when I planned this trip and I'm still waiting for cousins to get back to me about family time.  I feel totally disorganized.  I'm sorry.

I do have a title for the new book - I don't always have the title when I start writing (but do shortly thereafter), but, like the Kritzer books, I had this one right away.  I wanted it to have a certain feel to it and I like it - but I ain't talkin' yet.

The Wilshire Ebell - the name has always sounded very exotic to me, but I'm not sure I've ever been there in all my years, with the exception of attending some film poster auctions, which I don't think were actually held IN the theater, but adjacent to it.  The Ebell was the home to many ballet companies and opera stars and concerts.

So, where'd you have that chicken pot pie?  And which supermarket did JoAnn take you to?

Dear DR Elmore - I totally understand about family time and trying to plan around family members' schedules.

DR Ginny, the chicken pot pie was from Lee's and it was divoon.  I don't remember the market's name - it wasn't Kroger - but it was huuuuuge!

...And after breakfast, I asked the front desk if there was a drug store nearby - I needed to buy a pack of razors.  They said there's one just down the street, just past the first light.  -Oh, you want to walk?  Don't do that, it's a bit far.  Just take the courtesy shuttle van..  Well, since I don't know the area, I went ahead and hopped in the van.  And about one minute later I was at the Walgreen's.  -Thanks for driving me here, but I think I'll just walk back.

And I had a nice time perusing the aisle's in Walgreen's - they had already started marking down the Easter candy and decorations.  And I had a nice walk back to the Inn.  -Although, I think I discovered why the front desk had suggested not walking to Walgreen's: the sidewalks are scarce along Post Road.

In other news...

I'm at the theatre, and we started our "10 out of 12" about an hour ago.  Which also means I have yet to play a note on the piano.  Ah, the joys of tech.  And a costume tech, no less!

BK, it was I who mentioned THE SNIPER....what a nifty thriller...I am glad you thought so as well. And I am happy to know that I was not the only one who jumped a couple of times during that movie! Whew!

You will also be happy to know that Leslie Parrish looks beautiful in each and every one of those TV shows! Of course it would be difficult for her NOT to look beautiful!

We've added still more theatres! Any of you Ohio DR's near Columbus? I am thinking this might be a solo screening...

Seattle, WA.. Grand Illusion Cinema… May 11 – 17, 2007
Chicago, IL… Facets Cinematheque… May 18 – 24, 2007
Albuquerque, NM…Guild Cinema… May 21 – 25, 2007
Columbus, OH… Wexner Center for the Arts… June 26, 2007
Haledon, NJ… American Labor Museum… October 19, 2007

But Edisaurus, when will you add Portland or Salem, Oregon!!!! We have theaters too, you know! I think Portland's Hollywood Theatre would be a very fine choice for your film!

You'd probably have to customize those playlists, DR Cillaliz  ;)

Yes, I wouldn't want to be playing "I Fought the Law and the Law Won"

Golly.....this is a set-up post if ever I saw/read one.

Given the source, however, it would be unseemly to take advantage.

So...I'll just recommend that DRLaura ignore those voices, especially if they're asking for food or treats.

As for the attic noises....mum's the word.

Re: Belgian waffle and DR JoseSPiano:

I'm still trying to figure out if he was referring to a menu or his room steward.

In my experience, I've never met a Belgian who wasn't singularly minded.  No waffling ever.
