I managed to watch five episodes of HAVE GUN - WILL TRAVEL this afternoon. Two of the five were comic episodes (I didn't remember the shows being that slanted toward comic), one of them about a professional baseball team directed by Richard Boone himself.

Guest stars glimpsed so far:

Robert Blake, Martin Gabel, Ken Curtis, Mike Mazurki, George Kennedy, Ben Johnson, J. Pat O'Malley, Jack Albertson, Martin Balsam, and Denny Miller.

In five episodes we've already seen four future Oscar winners!

I had time to skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS and ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Nothing of interest in either, and Luke and Dr. Pill were not in the previews for next week either.

I managed to glimpse a little of THE V.I.P.s on TCM-HD before I started skimming the soaps.

Boy, did it look fabulous!

Well, I've finished my afternoon surf, so I think I'll write a little bit and then head down to rejoin Paladin on some more adventures.

I Always Suspected Something Was a Bit 'Off' With Her Department:

From my favorite press release of the day:

With beautiful costumes and stunning locations, Cecilia Bartoli has created a spectacle that is surely worthy of her castrati predecessors.

Thank you DR’s DtM, ArnoldMBrockman & Ben.

On the good news front, the therapist said my shoulder is in place.  He worked at pain management today & did few stretches.  My home exercises will be lighter tomorrow as I gradually return to my regular routine with one slight adjustment.   He said setbacks are bound to happen after my kind of major surgery.  Even so, it is frustrating knowing the window of time is narrowing for me to get more mobility.

Back from some bacon and eggs.  It's very cloudy out - hard to tell if they're rain clouds or not.

Man, the Home show was huge and tiring.  I think I talked to 10 different venders about replacement windows for my house, 2 water softener companies and a gutter guy.   Got lots of freebies and some Amish Jellies.  I didn't do anymore shopping, just came home and made my appetizer and am relaxing before heading over to the get together tonight

I told a friend of mine that another friend was pleased to have met him.  He laughed and said "That's surprising, there are throngs of people who are NOT pleased to meet me."

I got a surprise today.

I filed my taxes on January 31st (filed electronically) I just got a letter from the IRS telling me that they found a credit I neglected to take. They figured out the tax for me and increased my refund.

This is a new credit, one that I hadn't even heard of, called the Making Work Pay Tax Credit. It's temporary and it adds $400 to my refund. I never heard of it but I looked over my taxes again and it's OK with me so I get more money than I planned on getting. I thought when I saw the letter I had made a mistake and would need to file an amended return. Lucky me, it's not that at all!

Congrats on the extra refund!  I'm still waiting for mine to be deposited...today was the estimated refund date.  They said that it could be deposited later than the estimated date.  Hopefully, nothing will go wrong.

Topic of the Day:

I just listened to the original London cast recording of Billy Elliot and am now listening to Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones' Celebration.

I'm on hold with Apple - the mail program has been way too glitchy for the last three weeks - sometimes accounts will read as "offline" and yet according to the Mail program they're online and I certainly get mail.

It's stupid and petty. He was not threatening me. He just wouldn't quit calling.

I took an ice pack, curled up in the chair & turned on the women's free skate, only it wasn't there.  The evening recording didn't record at all and the 2:00am repeat was a re-run.  I have no idea what happened :(

I guess I go read what happened & all the comments now.
