Thanks to DR GEORGE for the Rodzinski excerpt yesterday. Most helpful for those of us who have a tough time just keeping up with the posts, much less checking other sites!

Anytime. :)

That is about the most adorable picture I have ever seen!

If MBarnum and Jose ever had a Cutest Niece (or grandniece) contest, I don't doubt that it would end in a tie! :)

Question for BK and others currently in New York:

Have you experienced any inconvenience due to the taxi strike?

My dad says it's been in the hundreds for awhile... and will continue to be so for awhile.

Since early May. And until October sometime.

Hmm... There were still plenty of cabs and cabbies when I was in midtown earlier today.   ???

Ah, I just read the article now myself... Funny thing is is that I don't think I heard anything about it on the TV news last night or this morning.  -And like the article states, it looks like there are still a good number of cabbies out there hacking for fares - and their livelihood.  :-\

And now I'm off to Barnes & Noble where I believe I shall see our very own esteemed bk, as well as DR FJL and some others.

Ugh!  "All-nighters."  I pulled a few in college to finish papers, etc.  But I could barely carry it off then, and certainly not now that I'm older.

Even in college, I remember staying up all night to finish something or other.  I had a voice lesson early the next morning.  The professor heard me sing two notes and sent me home to bed.  He claimed he could hear it in my voice immediately [I hadn't initially told him] and said it wasn't worth teaching me in that condition!?!

Maybe you were just a crappy singer!

DR Jane:  About that high pillow-top bed you fell in love with.  BUY IT!  You can always get a set of those steps for "older" animals that shouldn't be jumping up on things.  Those steps are just the ticket, unless you feel Sherlock would refuse to use them.

I have two sets of those stairs.  One to help both of them climb up on the bed; and the other one takes them to the top of the shelving unit where there favorite bed is located.  They have both been using and loving the stairs since the day i bought them.

No sir, Mr. wadings.

Because I'm sleepy.  I hope I snap out of it.

Golly, that's another "image" stuck in my head now...BK "hurling" on his cross-town jaunt.
