DR Cillaliz, yes the link worked. Nice pics!
The family problems are crazy. My mom just told me that it's ruined her whole holiday.
Sounds like a lovely evenng DR KEVINH
I forgot that they do this annual little neighborhood parade, which is starting now.
MR BK what does the man in the $1.5 million monstrosity do for a living?
Yay, Jane's reading the book! :)
I am watching a marathon of THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO episodes on SyFy.
I've done my fourth of July tradition and watched 1776. Pity we don't have in Congress today such men of intelligence, integrity, courage, and principle as we did then.
Oh good grief. Just talked to my mom, my brother and his family are at the lake but won't walk in the house or speak to my mother. They went straight to their boat and went sailing. This is beyond rude and it's all over nothing.Your brother should practice a bit more tolerance towards her. I'm sure she doesn't deserve this.
Last night I watched the second act of A STAR IS BORN on Blu and Ray.
Gorgeous transfer.
Marvelous movie.
Judy Garland was robbed. By SIX-COUNT-'EM-SIX VOTES! Something that close should have at least been a tie.

Is it just one day this month, TCB?

I care, DR TCB!
How rude and strange.
So, why are they mad at your mom? I must have missed something. I saw that a niece (or girlfriend of a nephew) got sick in Sam's car. I must have missed whatever offense your mother committed.

My mother and I decided not to tell Sam when she arrived at the house. We checked the car after I had cleaned it out and it didn't smell, so we just decided to say nothing. That's my crime. They figured it out, I'm sure my nephew told them and Sam had a fit because we didn't tell her. When Sam was ranting about it, mom said "Well you shouldn't have fed her all the wine and cigarettes" My mom makes comments like that, but apparently her comment really upset Sam. She's not mad at the girl who got sick, just mom and I. I talked to my brother yesterday and he said that's it, I wasn't honest (a sin of omission apparently) and my mom made a comment.
I'm outraged at their behavior. I get that they think I should have told her right away. Fine, but the rest of it is just so blown out of proportion. I'm done dealing with this drama over nothing. Mom said they think we are evil witches...I said she can't be, she doesn't like to fly.
I don't really care if they want to disrespect me, I can just blow them off, but the way they continue to disrespect my mother is something I have decided not to tolerate any more.

Well then I guess my National Holiday is back on. Let them eat cake! Sorry about the furlough. The state here had 10 days of furlough since January.
It has generated a number of posts, however
Nice flag!

I used to have a wonderful view of Tacoma's Freedom Fair fireworks. That is until they built those damn condos to block my view.
Is any one else going to watch fireworks?NO :(
I'm thinking I need some ice cream.....

Pretty funny, boy did she nail that one.
I didn't realize prohibition ended when the gov't needed money following the stock market crash.
We found a shaded rock to sit on that partially hid us from the dog police.
Got a phone call from my buddy Mark in Wyoming. His brother-in-law Kyle was in a terrible car accident today. Kyle is a police officer and was on duty when an out of control car hit his patrol car head on.
Kyle's police dog was killed and Kyle is in the hospital with a broken neck, among other injuries. At this point it is unknown if Kyle will be able to walk again. That was as much info as Mark had as of yet.
Kyle just lost his wife Cherly (Mark's sister) to cancer last year.
Kyle and Cherly visited Oregon several times when Mark was living here...that couple always would crack me up, and they were both very supportive of Mark when he came out of the closet about 7 years ago.
Prayers and vibes to Kyle, Mark and Kyle's loved ones ~~~~~~~~~~

Did I mention that I got an AARP card in the mail and I'm only going to be 49? It asked me to join so I could learn how to enjoy my life after 50. LOL, not only am I not 50, but I'm not trying to figure out what to do with my life when I turn 50. They will not get my money now...maybe later...not now
For some reason, I used to be able to type the word "from", but now, every time, it comes out "form". Is this something that comes with age? It's really annoying.
Hi George!!!
