I then went to the postal office and dropped of a humungous number of CD boxes - so easy.  Took all of ten minutes to unload them into the proper hamper (separate ones for domestic and priority).  More to box up today, and there are some International packages with five CDs that I have to do separately and take in myself.

I had never heard of Clutch Cargo, but it was interesting reading about him on Wikipedia.

When we went shopping yesterday I bought some tilapia filets. Any cooks out there have easy recipes? I've googled and see there are many different choices but I thought (especially Woody and Jose) someone here might have a favorite recipe.

Good Afternoon!

Well, here's something I haven't said in a while...

I'm back from the gym!

-And, yes, it has been a while.  Much longer than I care to admit to, but at least I made it back.  :)

Fresh or Frozen?

In either case, tilapia is a very versatile and "forgiving" fish.  Sauteeing, frying, baking and broiling seem to suit it best, imho.  -Although, I guess with enough aromatics, you could steam it too.

When it comes to preparing fish at home, simpler is always better for me - I'll leave the fancier, more time consuming preparations for when I eat out and someone else is doing the cooking.  I usually just slick the bottom of a baking dish with some oil, place the fillets in the pan, season as desired, then bake for about 10-15 minutes at 350-400 degrees, or until the fish flakes easily when pierced with a fork.

Has anyone mentioned Chris Cross, the character played by Edward G. Robinson in Fritz Lang's classic Scarlet Street?

We had a foster cat we called CC. It stood for "Crackhouse Cat," since that's where we got her.

Actress Charisma Carpenter (she was on BIG SHOTS and VERONICA MARS).

More importantly, she was on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel"!

This was an interesting morning. I was at the federal building around 7:15 AM to drop off the street clothes for my client to wear in court.  I went back at 8:10 or so for court and the magistrate judge said "Oh, by the way, the district Court judge can't get here until sometime tomorrow afternoon, so we're going to pick the jury and not start the trial until Wednesday"  So nice you let me know.

So I got out my cell phone to have my assistant let people know.  Of course I forgot to turn it off so it rang in the middle of selection...

We picked the jury and then as I was walking down the hallway I wiped out.  I mean totally wiped out.  my heels weren't high, but I looked like one of those fashion models wiping out on the runway.  Luckily only one person was in the hallway.

One of my witnesses has been a pain in the ass.  She's played all kinds of games and told me today she doesn't have a ride and I'll have to get her a bus ticket.  I can't buy it, it has to be arranged through the Marshal Service and they  need more than one day notice.  So, I decided I can do without her.  She would have been helpful, but I think I can get the info in other ways and I need to focus on the trial not her game playing.

So, I've decided that today wasn't really going well.  We have our jury and now I'll have a chance to regroup and go on Wednesday.
