I am thoroughly embroiled in controversy over at the Film Score Monthly Message Board.

One thread started by BK...to which an unexpected and totally hilarious/ludicrous "coda" was posted by "Saint David", as I call him.

And another on an innocuous thread about an upcoming soundtrack release in Europe that smacks of being a "bootleg".  Several good people said as much, and then the originator got ugly and told one of those good people that since he had "a serious issue" over the matter that he should contact the CD label.

I saw red.  And I've been arguing the idiocy of "entitlement" all day.

It just suits my snarky mood.

I'm not nauseous, but I have an ice pack on my big toe. It's swollen and reddish, but I don't know why.  It's also PAINFUL.   :o

Believe it or not time - I have the same problem - right foot.

Not gout!

Have you been eating crustaceans DR td?  Sometimes a cause of gout.

Speaking of BONES, the other day at the video store, I picked up a used copy of SEASON ONE for less than $10.00!
Today, at the same video store, I picked up SUPERNATURAL SEASON ONE for less than $20.00!
BONES, I have watched on its regular schedule, but, I've never seen SUPERNATURAL, but have heard mostly positive things about it.

It IS possible that he's been supping on seafood.  Do they have "Fleet Week" where you are, DR td?

One should always wear a white sport coat when supping on pink crustaceans.

I wonder if there's any relation to the fleet and Fleet Enemas.

LOL DR td.

I have a friend here who ended up on crutches from the pain.  It was not diagnosed as gout for months! And it was seafood related! (crustaceans in fact - LOBSTER)

Which brings this question to mind.

Here in the northern hemisphere -- in the United States, at any rate -- the rule of thumb is to never wear white after Labor Day (first Monday in September).  Generally, that applies to shoes, I believe, but I've heard it applied to trousers and skirts, too.

Do Aussies have any cut-off dates (traditional, that is) for such things?

I doubt it very much DR Ron.

Perhaps the wealthy head north to Queensland so that they can still wear white.  Is white allowed after labor day in Florida? (Sorry about that sentence structure)

Cilla-Good trusting vibes & Nadia is the person you believe her to be.  I'm sorry this didn't work out with her, at least you gave her a chance.

Thanks Jane. Ok, so I've limited her access on the computer, backed up the computer drives and keep all the checks in a locked drawer, but I trust her...

:D

this reminds me of what happens when someone doesn't show up for federal court.  The Court Security Officer has to go out into the hallway (usually empty except for security at most hours of the day) and call the person's name three times.  For some reason it always makes me giggle

I also had a neighbor who put on spook houses in his basement. I was in one of them, wearing a skeleton halloween costume when I was very young and got so scared i wet my pants.   He reminds me of that every once in awhile.

Was this last year?

Labor Day is the country-wide cut-off.

Of course, it's not illegal...it's just that certain folks will snigger at you if you wear white out of season.  That, and they will be supercilious toward you.

The spook house?

The wet pants episode?

Or the most recent reminder?

bk - Even though you won't be reading this until after your rehearsal... As DR Kerry said, EAT!

To me, your nausea last night and this morning could simply be caused from low blood sugar - and eating that brownie for "dinner".  -Especially since you've been eating some pretty full meals semi-regularly the past couple of days.  The queasy stomach could easily just be an empty stomach.  And light-headedness is a common low-blood sugar, dehydration symptom.

Hmm... Maybe I'll have to drop some cookies off at your rehearsal.  And a nice salad with some grilled chicken.  And a roll or two.

Gee, Jose, I think I am feeling a bit queasy myself (hint, hint)!
