I also liked Billy Elliott and White Nights,

My top two along with the 1996 Japanese film "Shall We Dance?".

The original Shall We Dance is one of my favorite movies of all time. The American remake was a joke.

Not surprising.

That it's a favorite with me? Or that the American remake was so wretched?

In honor of today's dance theme, I called my Steve Mnuchin parody a "White House dance"

So here for better or worse is my tribute to the jet-flying (on th public dime) Treasury Secretary and his wife's infamous twitter feed

My father was rather strict about my watching TV during the day and I wasn't permitted to do it very often.  I expected to be in trouble the day he came home and found me watching THE RED SHOES.  Instead we was very pleased.  It was the beginning of my love of old movies and a choice for daytime viewing that was acceptable.

I was thinking the wretched part.  I suppose it is also not surprising that the original is a favorite of yours 😊

Listening to the entire Bachianas.  I'd bought a set that had all the Villa-Lobos Bachianas and Choros so I nuked the Enrique Batiz set of Bachianas, but this other set presents everything out of order and in weird variations, so I just nuked THAT and re-uploaded the Batiz - here the Bachianas are all in the proper versions and the correct order.  Much better.

Well, the show is over, the set has been struck and we all have gone our separate ways.

I'm now at McMcMenamins The Spar in downtown Olympia, waiting to get service.  They have out the "Seat Yourself" sign, so I sat myself, and so far none of the waitstaff have noticed.  How rude! >:(
