Bruce your comment on fb regarding the story of the man who got his head stuck where it was impossible to do was too funny not to share with Keith.   He had a good laugh over it.

He left with a 2018 black Subaru Forrester.

Nice!

The house is almost full.  Very good for the final performance...a little more sedate than other audiences, but they're enjoying it.

I started THE GOVERNOR on Acorn TV. It's written by Lynda Laplante, who wrote PRIME SUSPECT. It's good; I'll watch the rest.

Then, having had my fill of murder and mayhem, I returned to an old favorite, AIN'T MISBEHAVING', with a young (and cheeky) Robson Green (GRANTCHESTER). In it, Jerome Flynn sings A Nightingale Sang in Berkely Square, which was was made me think of it. It's a fun show, with great 1940s music.

I don't really catalog much of anything - I should - but I don't have the time.

Ah, but do you catafalque them?

Eager to hear about the Vix vacation in PA. I hope Vixmom and Vixdad had a nice time; it must have been difficult, given the circumstances.

I fell asleep for what must have been a much needed nap.  Got about an hour, and now I'm groggier than all hell.

Don't you just hate that? FINALLY able to get a bit of much-needed sleep, and BAM! You feel WORSE for it!

Life's not fair!

I don't know if we'll need to do strike before the telescoping, or will get to wait with the strike.  I'll find out soon enough.  The show's almost over...then it will be over!

It's amazing we're on page four when you think about it, but that won't stop me from saying: Page four?  Really?

I also liked Billy Elliott and White Nights,

My top two along with the 1996 Japanese film "Shall We Dance?".

The original Shall We Dance is one of my favorite movies of all time. The American remake was a joke.

Near the top of my favorites list is The Band Wagon, which does feature Miss Cyd Charisse dancing ballet.

The concert tonight was exhilarating. Ax played the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 "Emperor." Also on the program was the fifth symphony and the Egmont Overture. .

Of course, I kept thinking of The Cradle Will Rock during the Egmont Overture. It's the theme that Mrs. Mister has the horn of her light blue Pierce Arrow tuned to play.

Harry Dean Stanton has died. He was 91. I just saw him this week in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.

I hear his latest movie, Lucky, features his best performance yet.

Just finished Renoir's Experiment in Terror. Not his best, but still couldn't take my eyes off of it. It's an odd take on the Jekyll and Hyde story. The scenes in which the monster attacks other people are staged almost like slapstick comedy from a silent film, so you don't know whether to laugh or vomit. Maybe that's what he was going for, but it didn't sit well with me.
