Standing in the check-out line at the supermarket yesterday, I perused the latest issue of The National Enquirer.  So now I know WHO'S GAY AND WHO'S NOT.

And page four to boot.  I just booted page four.  Page four liked it.  Make of that what you will.

:-)  Very cool!

I wonder if the cast is invited to the brunch afterwards?  If DR Jason doesn't have to dip into his per diem for lunch.. :)

The brunch is actually between the performances.  The sponsors will attend the later performance, but I'll see the early show.  I asked my friend if the cast would be invited to brunch and she didn't exactly answer me.  Should I take Jason a sandwich?

The DVD was just emptied of DEVIL WITH A BLUE DRESS ON, one of my faves. The VCR has the last hour of SAURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING which i taped buit didnt get a chance to finish watching(I haven't seen the film since the late 60's) and car CD , on my 25 min  ride to work today was the CD re-issue of COCO: I have it on vinyl but I dont remember enjoying it as much as I did today.Except fo 2 gents from Verona, I've enjoyed all the Bway CDs I play in the car. I don't know why that is.

Please!  SPILL IT!

DR RLP -  It wasn't all that earth-shattering.  I actually remember very few.  IIRC, The Enquirer determined:

Jody Foster - Yes.
Prince Charles - No.
John Travolta, Jake Gyllenhaal - The Jury's Out.   So to speak.

I tried to harvest seeds from my passiflora lutea for you (little creamy-white delicate passion flower) but the pods all fell off with the rain and I couldn't find any of them!

An idea for the future...

I would try putting some fine netting around the head of the flower to capture the pods.

My great grandmother used to do that with some of her flowers.  It may or may not work

DR Ginny, I am so glad you will get to see DR Jason's performance! And I can't wait to hear all about it!

Perhaps DR JRand will be able to attend the Indiana show!

Thanks for the Study Guide link, DR Ginny.

I wonder what it would do to Broadway attendance, were the audience required to fill out those worksheets before and after!  ;)

Well, DR Singdaw, here in Ohio nothing happens in K-12 education that doesn't correspond with the Ohio Academic Standards Benchmarks (aka proficiency tests).  I find it sad that school can't include some things that are purely for enrichment and, heaven forbid, fun.  I think field trips were just that when I was in school 40+ years ago.

MORE FUEL FOR THE BLAME CANADA CROWD:

CANADIAN BEER DRINKERS THREATEN PLANET

Quote
Scientists have found a new threat to the planet: Canadian beer drinkers.

The government-commissioned study says the old, inefficient "beer fridges" that one in three Canadian households use to store their Molson and Labatt's contribute significantly to global warming by guzzling gas- and coal-fired electricity.

"People need to understand the impact of their lifestyles," British environmental consultant Joanna Yarrow tells New Scientist magazine. "Clearly the environmental implications of having a frivolous luxury like a beer fridge are not hitting home. This research helps inform people — let's hope it has an effect."
The problem is that the beer fridges are mostly decades-old machines that began their second careers as beverage dispensers when Canadians upgraded to more energy-efficient models to store whatever Canadians eat besides doughnuts and poutine.

Seth Rudetsky says Sirius satellite radio will be broadcasting today's "free" Back to Broadway concert with performances by Lansbury, etc., etc.  He thinks it's at 2PM on channel 77.

I'm at work, but you're supposed to be able to get 3 day free trials.

BK - I hope you gave those people who called you at 7:30 L.A. time a good tongue-lashing.  When that's happened when I've been on the West Coast, I've just said it's 7 a.m. here, call me back later.
