Well, I had an absolutly wonderful night. After reading Kritzerland ( waiting with baited breath for Kritzertime), I saw the fabulous Kevin Spirtas perform acts or sheer amazment and delight. After a lovely piece of cheese cake and some gossip, I was lucky enough to be drivin home by the star of tonight's show.....

But there was an event, a pinnicle of my life, that topped even that tonight...

Bruce Kimmel Proposed!

I dont know what to say I was flabergasted ( what a disgusting word ). We would of course be living in separate residences and living our own lives...but it is still important! I have not yet givin him an anwser, I do not feel I have known him long enough.

What do the dear readers think..you have known him far longer than I have....  Please Help Me!

I have just two words for you:

Greetings from Issaquah.

George - When you say HHW's own Jessica Skerritt, do you mean she posts here?

No, she never has.  MBarnum (I think he was the one that started it all) saw her in a show in Seattle and just raved about her and BK wanted to know about her.  Last year, she was in a show here in Olympia (and she was very good), but I didn't get a chance to meet her.  Then she went (moved?) to California and met BK and now she's doing your show, which just happened to have had a cast recording put out by BK and so that's why I referred to her as "our very own." ;) Clear as mud?  Others can fill in the details. ;D

I don't know if anybody mentioned this yet (calling DR TPunk). But did anybody watch last night's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE elimination???

space for comments pertaining to thursday's elimination show.

I actually thought it was a teary show. Sad to see people leave (although i was much more sad last week when it was alison).

I knew travis and heidi were safe after their excellent performances on wed. But my gosh mia (judge) was very rough on heidi and benji.

Since i'm guessing benji is the most popular contestant i knew who was going home.  I was a bit less sure between donyelle and natalie.

Next week's show should be good. And i'm excited to get to see everyone get to dance together. It's too bad ivan didn't get to dance with heidi. I think it might have helped his chances.

Of the 4 remaining, i would not mind if heidi, benji or travis won. I do like donyelle. But she hasn't grown in recent weeks. I'm thinking benji is going to win. I'm not sure who i want to win more benji or heidi. I've sort of enjoyed her more lately.

Miss Skerritt, while very talented,  is a bit of a flake.  Rarely returns calls, never answers e-mails, etc.  She sent me a recording to listen to and a DVD to watch, and she needed the latter returned to her.  I e-mailed her about three months ago to get it back to her, and she never bothered to answer.  Oh, well.  I was trying to help her and could have gotten her an audition for a big show at Reprise doing a killer number, but alas, I got weary of trying to get responses from her.  If anyone sees her, just say I made every attempt to contact her to get this DVD back to her, but that I don't play these sorts of games.  Obviously, LA was too much for the girl and she's run home.

I shall now be on my way to LACC.  After the show, we'll be going to Genghis Cohen so notes will most likely be up later than usual.

This is not a Friday that feels like a Saturday...this is a Friday that feels like the MONDAY FROM HELL!

An ugly day this a.m., that bloomed into something positive this afternoon.

I'm used to stupidity in government.  What I'm not used to is rational people responsible for a new procedure pretending that the new procedure has been properly established, that people have been trained to use it and that it's fully functional when, in truth, they haven't a clue how it's going to work and haven't developed any materials to help people figure it out.

But...that doesn't stop them from "requiring" you to adhere to the "new" (invisible/non-working) procedure.

The old Catch 22 in action...

Oh...the positive thing that blossomed this afternoon.

I asked questions, I expressed frustration (oh! my!).

Suddenly, folks started scrambling.

Suddenly, folks were being tasked to organize training.

Suddnely, I got some personalized training to get me through some of my morning paperwork to "adhere to the new policies" (in a patchwork quilt sort of way -- it wasn't pretty, but we got it done).

Suddenly, I'm guessing my name is mud in some quarters.

But...others in the same boat as I are glad I was here today.

Oh, yes.

And I played the "guess who Herman chased around the desk" and found the actor quickly.

It wasn't John Fraser?

Hi all!  MAN did I eat tonight. My mother made a pork roast, stuffed tomatoes, fresh sweet corn, salad and topped it all off with peanut butter pie!

I am stuffed, but must now leave the lake and head to Estherville to go to my friend's reunion with him.  It should be an interesting evening.

THE FULL MONTY was a wonderful show, and Matt Ashford (or any other hunky actor who can sing) would be lucky to be in it. Great storylines for the guys, decent music (I preferred David Yazbeck's score for DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS more, but MONTY was his first effort for Broadway and a winning one), an entertaining show.

Matt has a nice singing voice and I have a few clips of him singing with his wife.

DR TPunk, Lady Macbeth is a bitch.  I believe that as soon as she gets out of bed and begins pouring Bailey's Irish Cream into her coffee, she thinks of various ways to make others miserable.  She no longer wants to care for my Dad, resented it when she had the responsibility, and she doesn't want him happy and content any more than she wants Randy and Jo Ann showing her up as his caretakers.  She's a conniving liar, and I think my evil brother's outburst against my inheriting a third of my father's estate is a result of her wanting it all:  why divide something three ways when two ways guarantees a bigger piece of the pie?

Elmore, she sounds like my father's sister in law... I have locked horns already with her and I fear it will get worse on my end.

I have seen a production of that play and when done well it is a great production. I am glad to hear yours went well.
