Bought the SUPERMAN FIRST SEASON DVD set today at Walmart.

The descriptions of Episodes 14 & 16 seem to have been switched under their titles on the box describing Disc 3.

ooh! Save it!! It may become a collectors items worth millions on the ebay market!! (Remember when we used to throw away the mistakes?)

Vixmom (and DR Laura): Granny is apparently on her 9th life right now and feelin' fine. The doctors said by the end of the month, she should be back to 'normal.' She reminds me of the woman on "Grey's Anatomy" yesterday whose...eh...I won't give it away.  Suffice it to say, some people just aren't ready to give up the good fight... :)

Speaking of candles and healing -

Jack: Have you ever tried the ear candles that suck all the crap out of your ears? They're AMAZING. When we lived in Louisville,  you could buy them in packs of 20, I think, and they were pretty inexpensive. Here in NYC, you can have the treatment done at a local manicurist for a mere $60/session (!!!!).

For those of you who are ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT fans, remember that they are showing two episodes toniught back-to-back. KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL returns next week, I think.

And how about the 3-D episode of MEDIUM coming up later this month? That's going to be something to see!

Off to clean the dining room. I might even have time for part of a movie before ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT starts!

Well, I've watched two movies since last posting.  I had a bowl of chicken tortilla soup with sourdough toast for lunch and watched "The Lost Boys" and followed that with "Outrageous Fortune."

I come back here to discover major posting frenzies.  A most auspicious beginning to the week!

BK will be stunned when he sees we're past 200 posts and growing!

Where will NBC be expecting its "Medium" audience to find 3-D glasses?

DR Jane:  I am envious of your snow.

It has been gray here all day, but the promised rain has not fallen and the air is still, and the humidity seems high.

Not your usual Bay Area day.

It's a bit unnerving, actually.  Almost like earthquake weather.

Here's an  MBarnum tidbit:

What former Tarzan had a bit role in "Outrageous Fortune" as a Russian agent?

Coins and stamps gain value.  Video boxes and labels...I think...will just be corrected on future releases.

I've found no market for some strange things I've acquired, including the soundtrack LP for "The Sand Pebbles."  I bought a mono copy, but side one is mono and side 2 is stereo.  Go figure.

My Mom's sense of humor is one of the things that got me to move from Brooklyn to Manhattan.  :)

And your mom lives in....Manhattan?

I had a feeling that you would be disappointed after reading all the glowing reviews.  If you had not been expecting anything, you probably would have liked it more. :(

Then that must account for his love of "Joey"!!!

Things I've read today that grossed me out:

Peanut butter sandwiches dipped in chicken soup!

Cold sores covering lip up into nose.

What?  No one has any vomit stories to share with us today?

Maybe jelly sandwiches with tuna fish?

Or chocolate-covered oysters?

TD those were beautifdul readings.... I wonder if a certain songwriter who is known for ALWAYS writing both the lyrics and music could be prevailed upon to write just the music this once.......
Persuasion is a very good thing.  (It's also a book by Jane Austen).

Well, who would have thought, but, the two interviews today actually turned into three - I got through the first interview with Bonnie at Borders (love the alliteration) and she asked me to stay an extra hour so that Terri could also interview me.  Now, all that is left is for Stephanie to go through my references (and Steph is the one who called me for the interview) and by November 18, I'll know whether or not I am officially a Borders' employee.

many thanks for the thoughts, prayers and vibes. . . many, many thanks indeed!

Why does it have to be cold to have chili?

I have never tried it on/with spaghetti. That sounds interesting!

The end result is the same...why not just ask the cook to serve up a glass of the grease and have it injected directly into the arteries?  Top it off with the grilled cheese sammich.

That's the fastest way to obesity and clogged arteries I know of, short of consuming plates and plates of fudge.

I want you folks to have HEALTHY LIVES....make sure you're eating mostly veggies in between these splurges with comfort foods.
