Richard and I went to visit this year's venue for the AAUW book sale, which DR Elmore will know as the Main Street location of the First National Bank Travel Department or maybe Office Outfitters. It's going to be cozy...

Came home from the workshop and immediately fell asleep.

It was fun, but there were folks that should have stayed to home....but most of them did listen.

My niece and my cousin's grand daughter were both there...and they did well.... During the first dance sequence, I was watching an 8 year old boy. He ALWAYS turned the wrong way.....I watched him almost turn the right way....then change his mind and go the wrong way....every time. One of the other boys did all the steps but he was about two beats ahead of the music. One little girl couldn't get a jazz square, because she touching instead of stepping and putting her weight on the right foot....

So tres amusement!

Before the readings, Caroline asked if anyone didn't want to be touched....so I raised my hand....

I also worked with our accompanist on my audition song while we were alone....she said I did fine....but she's a very nice person.

A friend mentioned on facebook she was at Nordstrom's at the Thousand Oaks Mall and had the smarts to get out of there as soon as the sirens went off. There was a shooting and other people on her page posted they were in lock down for an hour and a half.

I assume we'll be doing any back and forth with the theater before the show opens from here, of course, and if plane fares cooperate, I could probably coordinate when I see the show with everyone from HHW's schedules.

I'll know specifically what's going on re a trip based on what finances look like by April 15, but also, a bris trip is expected to the DC or Maryland area in June, depending on a new cousin's arrival schedule.
