DR Jane (or anybody else who watches the MENTALIST, no spoilers).

Did you watch last night's show yet?  You must watch it immediately. So creepy! Excellent!

I think we will be watching it tonight.

I almost missed your post along with a few others.  I'm having "one of those days". ;D

You will have to tell me what you think of it.

It's been a very frustrating day today. Tempers were short, I was testy, I'm feeling very insecure at the moment, and I expect tomorrow will be better. I think we're all feeling the tightness of the schedule, the pressure on the cast in dealing with too little time to learn too much music  many lyrics and chord symbols, and blocking. Everyone's got an "if we only had more time ro deal with . . ." or "will they ever learn that . . ." or "some staging here might help them freeze that . . ." or "if the audience is going to sing along, why did you ask me to write something pretty and choral . . ."

So, it was a very tense afternoon, and the ordeal of getting home because of the absofuckinlutely lousy New York traffic only added to the frustration. I hate getting into a taxi cab where the damned meter is already charging an extra $1.50 for God alone knows what.  And because our pricipal cast member is in a show and has to be out at 1PM, tomorrow's rehearsal begins at 9AM. Goddam!

Oh, yes, I am in a reallly lousy mood. Color me highly pissed.

Hugs for DR elmore!

Accuweather.com says it is "dreary." I don't think any of us here feel that 75 degrees after that long hot summer is dreary.

Thank you all for the vibes for my son. They worked. He didn't seem to suffer; he just gets a bit sore.

Perhaps the difference is that they give out pain pills now. I don't remember getting any when it was my turn years and years ago.

I think the Pacific NW should co-opt that for one of their endless euphemisms for rain.  :)

Am judging a chili cook-off this weekend. That should be fun.

John G., do you ever have a chili that you just can't eat?
Yes, it usually involves beans. Or tofu.

Thankfully, in Texas, beans are not allowed. And this isn't a vegetarian chili competition, so there won't be no tofu neither. Squirrel, maybe. Just for the Vixter.

Here it is. The names will be in reverse order. But I doubt much else will change.

Tasty looking cover, DR John G.!

Where was this BEFORE Craig's weekend in San Antonio? ;)

He said the food & service was excellent everywhere except for one very strange restaurant.  This restaurant takes pride on bad service, insults & being downright crude.  Craig said they need a disclaimer outside the restaurant for unsuspecting customers.  I think the biggest insult was that the food was mediocre.

DR John G do you know where he ate?
That sounds like a place called Dick's Last Resort, where they make some people wear paper condoms on their head.

I always enjoy films about trains - especially runaway trains - so I started watching "Unstoppable" thinking I would enjoy it. What a load of rubbish. A total insult to the intelligence. What a contrast to the vastly superior "Runaway Train" with Jon Voight.
"Runaway Train" is great.

Thank you all for the nice notes on the cover. Somehow, having a radish on the cover is a sign that all is well. I used to throw radish party on Noche de los Rabanos (Night of the Radishes, which is not related to Attack of the Puppet People), and it all seems part of the puzzle.

Sorry to be E and T.  I got myself my Christmas Present today... a new desktop computer for home.  I realized my desktop is 10 years old and just can't do everything I want it to do.  Anyway, I got a pretty good deal on one that should last me another 10 years and have been setting it up, transferring files etc tonight.

I also decided that I wanted my desktop in my living room, where I can see a nice view and in the room that is really where I live.   It fits perfectly on the desk in my living room and looks a lot better than I thought it would

I'm exhausted. -And depending on how my Mom is doing, I may head down to Richmond tomorrow night after the show so that I can spend a few hours with her Sunday morning. -And then drive back up in time for my matinee. No further updates since I called my Dad at 7:30.
