For the first time in 10 years or more, I'm going Friday night to a production by the local company of which DR Elmore was a founder.  My friend Katie and her husband have season tickets and he's not available to go with her to see Ruthless! - The Musical so she invited me.  The company is in a new facility and it will be an interesting evening.

Thanks, DR Jane.  I hate to miss the Olympics opening ceremony on TV, but figure I'll be home before they light the torch.

I understand the Others.  These are brand new Others - they just conveniently do this when they need new characters and enough is really enough.  They have many interesting characters and they can barely figure out what to do with THEM, let alone introducing brand new people in season six.  But I remember the same thing in Alias, with its haineshisway.com fans saying the same thing - that they'd go along for the ride and were fine with everything and would judge at the end of the final season.  And after sticking with that show for its entire run and being jerked around endlessly from seasons three on, the final season was almost a complete joke - and I didn't even watch the final episode I was so annoyed by that time.  Lost has a LOT of story to pay off, and they really, in MY opinion, did not need all this stuff they introduced, unless it's going to pay off in some spectacular way.  I will stay with it to the bitter end, but am just hoping they don't pull an Alias.

I thought ALIAS was rather hopeless for its last TWO seasons.  I stayed to the bitter end, but I really though the show was never as good as the first two years and part of the third.

I watched all of the bonus features on disc one of STARGATE UNIVERSE. Must have been a dozen little vignettes of 2-3 minutes in length about all aspects of the show. Once I start writing them up, it's going to be a pain.

Sampled all of the commentaries. The pilot had the director, producer, and F/X coordinator doing the talking and it was fairly interesting. But the other episodes featured the same three cast members, and it was basically a waste of time.

Then I put in the second disc and watched the first episode on it. This leaves me with four more episodes tomorrow plus five commentaries and more bonus vignettes.

Then I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. The boys were on today along with Dr. Pill, but it was a rather plodding episode.

I skimmed through ONE LIFE TO LIVE, too, but neither of the boys were on, so there was nothing of interest for me.

Next up was HUMAN TARGET from tonight. A much better episode than last week's. A really thrilling, terrifically done chase scene with marvelous stunt driving early-on, and a pretty breathless plot throughout. Good recovery this week to keep me interested in continuing to watch.

Then I watched tonight's AMERICAN IDOL - Hollywood Round II. Did hear some fine singing tonight, even if it was only in little bursts. I'll be looking for some of these folks in the semifinals for sure.

Of course, a couple of people got through that I didn't think were very good singers, so it does kind of balance out.

LOL-you just answered my curiosity as to when the Olympics begin.

Matt H.  Do you have a link for the ice skating times?

I put the bomb under the can and set it off. The can is now somewhere in space andwhen it lands - tomorrow? - all hell may break loose. It's quite suspenseful and I am curious about the situation of the wannabe conductor when it happens. That could be any moment now. Oy!

Are you interested in all four disciplines or just the men's and women's singles?

I don't have a list (yet), but I'm sure I can find one.

On the upper right hand side of the page you can put in your zip code and it will tell you the tv listings based on what type of TV service you have.  kind of cool

I should get some sleep.  I really had planned to work tonight but after working all day Monday and then taking a short break and working until 1:00 AM and doing the same thing yesterday, I just hit the wall about 5:00 PM today and called it a night.  Tomorrow Edith and I will do a jail visit about 2 hours away from Sioux City. I need her to translate.  We'll stop and have lunch on the way.  Then I do have to work tomorrow night on a motion and brief due Friday.  Whew!  This week has been crazy busy.  Not complaining, but as a result I decided we will be closed for President's Day.  The courts will be closed so we may as well be.

Or put in their place.
