Huh??

Sorry, DR Jeanne; it was an obscure A New Brain reference.   Mr. Bungee is a frog character that hosts a children's television show.

The 2 places that usually have it were sold out. But one place said they will be getting some more tuesday morning.

I know most people would have gotten theirs before today. But i just decided i wanted it this morning!

I am looking forward to BIG BROTHER tonight. And the finale of the Oprah show. And BROTHERS & SISTERS.  Hopefully DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES will be good too.

And since DEXTER is not on this week, they are showing tomorrow's MEDIUM here today.

DR MattH, the reason i worry about shows like TORCHWOOD, GOSSIP GIRL, TOP CHEF ... are that you never know if the canadian station is going to drop the show.  Like we used to get VERONICA MARS on ctv. And after season one they stopped showing it!

I'm pretty sure all 3 of my above favorites will return. I just feel better with a date in hand!

The weather is so odd here. You leave in the morning and it's 40something. And then by the afternoon you're suffocating. Luckily i had sandals in the car. And i took off my sweater.

Well BLACK GOLD was not a very good play, the cast was fine with some standouts, of course.  There was a young man who just learned to ACT in college and he was doing a lot of ACTING - wow!

Mr Kurt says hello to HHW and I hope when I talk to him next week, I can convince him to return to these here parts.  He was of course, very good, as were about 3/4's of the cast.

DR MATTH - you are correct.  I complain too much about the quality of television.  There are several shows that I enjoy very much.

There used to be shows that I would cancel plans to stay home to watch, but of course, no one has to do that anymore.

I enjoyed TORCHWOOD last night, and DR derBRUCER, I liked the Secret World of Jules Verne, the syndicated series - although here it was shown on Saturday nights at midnight, so sometimes I forgot it was on!

Time for Big Brother here.....my GUESS is that Sharon will be gone come Wednesday.  She has too many votes in the Sequester House - not that this will mean anything to anyone who doesn't watch the show.

Sunday evening greetings!  We are back from the baptism of great-nephew Timothy and a fun family day.  I am so glad tomorrow is another vacation day for me.

It was so nice to see DR Kerry back where he belongs -- in church. I saw the back of his head from the soundbooth. Mae-Ling gave him a big hug.

A couple more guest speakers -- and then the new minister comes!

I must have made a really positive impression on Samuel Bronston's son--he has sent me several more emails, wants me to call him, and is inviting me into a kind of exclusive group of Bronston-related people like Anthony Mann's daughter and Miklos Rosza's daughter.  I have to say I have been very, very touched by all of this.

I just sat through the lamentable "Paranormal State" series on A&E.  I'm not averse to these "ghost-hunter" series, but this one was so arch-Catholic, with crucifixes, holy water, exorcisms and Priests posited as the only solutions that it really bugged me.

Just watched the first half of the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie with Marlee Matlin.  It seemed pretty forced and I'm too tired to stay up another hour.

'night!

There is a very brief, 12 minutes tops, biography of E. M. Forster on the new dvd of A PASSAGE TO INDIA.  From what I briefly viewed last night following KINGS OF THE SUN, the new dvd surpasses the old one in every way possible.

It also came out on Blu-ray and has gotten sterling reviews. That's the one I'll get when I eventually update.

I watched three more documentaries in the INDY JONES set. The first was on Bronislaw Malinowski whom I had heard of but basically knew nothing about. Obviously since Indy wants to be an archaeologist, he would HAVE to run across him in his travels on the show even if his studies were more anthropology oriented.

Then there was a docuemntary strictly about anthropology, the shortest of the features I've watched thus far (23 minutes).

I did have time to watch the next "movie," a weak effort called "The Winds of Change." Filled with lots of high flown talk filled with ironic statements dealing with the peace treaty after World World I and the German reaction to such brutal terms. The second half of the movie took place back in Princeton where we find out Indy was best friends with, who else, Paul Robeson. Lots of talk in this half as well about blacks being second class citizens. While at Princeton that summer, he also was the lab assistant for Dr. Robert Goddard, the father of modern rocket science.

My, that Indy did get around!
