I would like the crisp, Keith wouldn't.  I think the brown sugar gives it a nice rich flavor, just too sweet of one.  Let me know if you make it with less sugar & how it turns out.  Thanks again for the recipe.

I suggest lemon juice.

He's Baaaaaccckkk!!!! ;D

Errant and truant are my middle names.  Yes, that's me-- Kerry Errant and Truant Hughes.

While I was away, I missed wishing Buffy Larsen-Hughes and Lon McAllister a happy birthday on April 16th.  Hopefully they've met each other in heaven; I have a feeling they are good friends by now.

Ah well... such watch.

And the word of the day is: NOCTILUCENT!
What Oberon and Puck did not realize at the time is that the flower that had been struck by Cupid's arrow was radioactive.

Demetrius and Lysander have been NOCTILUCENT ever since.

(At least, when they make their way to the loo in the wee hours, neither of them needs a night light.)

DR MattH (and JMK) - Were those "documentaries" produced exclusively for the box set of Young Indy Adventures?  -I just don't ever recall any sort of documentaries being shown on TV when the show originally aired.

I think they were produced for the box sets.

And I had no idea, but these sets are EXPENSIVE! The one I'm reviewing lists for $130!
The price is the only reason der B and I haven't snatched them up.  They're on the wish list, however.

Perhaps Mr. Doyle should direct MUSIC MAN, then he could have the cast playing instruments, when they aren't playing instruments!
And the script for Music Man practically demands that the instruments be played as well as they were for Company!

My E&T-ness may or may not get better over the next week.

I've several nights when I don't get off work until ten.  This will either lead to my having more computer time in the morning... or not.

Re: Torchwood.

SPOILERS

Well, I did warn everyone (sorta) that the ending would have plenty of shocks.

Still, the story felt as if it had gone in two directions at once (at least), with the Grey story being one thing and the Owen/Tosh story being the other thing - it was almost as if they were unrelated.

As for Captain Jack's situation - he seems to have kept his sanity well.  I don't know if I could have handled all that dirty business and stayed as level as he did.

On towards next season!

Re: Doctor Who - Voyage of the Damned

MORE SPOILERS!

I don't know if anyone else was watching this, but I felt a bit let down by the story, morally at least.

No fewer than three characters died by sacrificing themselves for the greater good.  I know, in many Doctor Who stories there's often a lot of deaths, that's practically a given, but three noble sacrifices was a bit much.  It was like screenwriter/producer Russell T. Davies was trying to make a point or something, but failed (since almost everyone died anyways).

I wanted more survivors.  Bleh.

Re: The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Yes, this is a kids show.  And that is a good thing.  Sometimes I think the only group writing for young people is the staff at Disney, with their sitcoms.  And those shows all seem alike after a point.  Sarah Jane is different, and enjoyable for being different.

Although...

SPOILER

.... There's something discriminatory about he Slitheen as villians.  Yes, I understand the conceit of how they use the bodies of "large" people as disguises, because they can't fit into the bodies of smaller people, but by making one of the Slitheen a juvenile, I can't help thinking that this could make real "large" kids the targets of even more prejudice than they are facing even now, by their snotty and snarky peers.

Just a thought.

It was lovely to catch up with DR Ben yesterday. As he mentioned in yesterday's posts, we got to chat a bit as he was cutting through Madison Square Park.

Yes, that is the "Sapphire Blue" color that I purchased.  The other colors - Black and Red - were not on sale, so...  I've never really had "nice" luggage, and since the sale and the additional discount were too good to pass up, well...  :)

I have never attended a Seder.

My DH kindly organized one once [with a siddur created from scratch for the occasion] for my parents gourmet dinner group, non-Jews all.  Some of them were very apprehensive beforehand, but they had a great time, ate some great food, and learned a lot, too.  :)
