I had really active dreams just before waking up, which vanished as soon as I was awake.  But one of them just came back to me.  I was in Southern California and was amazed to rediscover how warm it is in December.

Now wasn't that exciting?

I had a dream that I was writing an aria/showcase for the wonderful Carmen Cusack.

Here’s hoping that dream comes true.

Richard went to a noontime concert at the Methodist church where we were married.  The program was 2 harpists playing holiday and classical music.

Two
harpists in Middletown? Two?

I never knew of one living there.

Well, we really don’t know where they’re from, nor their names, nor anything else about them, because the church music director who talked beforehand made no kind of introduction  ::)

I like the pineapple fan the best, George. It’s really nice.

You’ll have to let us know how well it works as a fan.

Thanks, John.  I'll open it and try it out tonight. :) When I opened the elephant fan to make sure that it was okay, the styrofoam packaging was pretty messy. :P I don't want to have that happen here at work.

Thatch and Annabelle playing rough this morning: they chase each other, then jump on each other, and roll around for a bit kicking each other, then Annabelle rubs away and Thatch chases her.  She's confounded him by jumping onto the top of the cage, or onto the kitchen sink where he cannot reach her before she lets him chase her again.  She's such a flirt.

The little hussy.

It sounds like she's getting her energy back.  Maybe Thatch, as well?

His conjunctivitis is not clearing up as fast as I would like.

Friday morning greetings!  This evening I'm meeting Rebecca at the auditorium on the Miami campus where her library career began (and ended 30+ years later).  We're seeing Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre's production of Children of Eden, a show I've never seen and know very little about.  Film at 11...

I'm not a religious person, but I really like the show.  The company that put on Hairspray! this summer is doing a two-show run of Children of Eden at the end of December.  I really want to see it what they do with it. :)

This is World AIDS Day, and I mourn the hundreds of friends in the LGBT community, theatre community, and social networks I lost to this plague.

In this 1993 photo of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, the men dressed in black represent the members of this group lost up to that year.

Oh, my. :(

I tried a new cat food tonight, Wellness Tuna Dinner, but I don't think the babies liked it much.  We'll see how much is left in their bowls by morning.  Wellness is supposed to be top-grade food, but I think my kids prefer Fancy Feast.

Annabelle loves the heated bed.  Thatch only crawls into it when she leaves it.  I wish he would sleep in the covered bed but he seems content sleeping on the litter mat behind the bathroom door.

Do you remember the little runt kitten Petunia who was in the Brooklyn rescue group?  I was so worried she would not survive or thrive.  She was adopted in October, and they just posted photos of her now. She's become quite a little beauty.  I wish I could have adopted her.

Here are photos from August, October, and today.

Mine liked Fancy Feast, Elmore, but they also liked Friskies canned. But not 9 Lives canned.
