Good morning, all! I slept late, and now I have to run downtown and deal with Toyland; I'm the only one of us office workers around today, so I need to verify there hasn't been another breakin. We're all anxious since the robbers know everything's packed away for easy removal, and we have sound equipment, copiers, and other expensive objects waiting for the taking. I will verify everything is safely locked up and return or I'll call the police and wait to make another report. I must admit I'm not very keen these days about being down there alone.
DR JRand56, I'm currently reading Ruth Gordon's books, and her autobio MY SIDE is quite wonderful and very frank. Her first husband Gregory Kelly, who starred with her on Broadway in Booth Tarkington's SEVENTEEN, died young and on tour. Her account of the marriage and her affairs and several quite painful abortions is very honest, and her account of his death is quite moving. In 1927, or so, she began an affair with Harris and decided to keep the baby, who was born in October in Paris. I'm at this point in the book, and I recommend it immensely.

Why hasn't darling elmore returned my call and/or e-mail?
As I reported yesterday morning, I was out with my friend Kirk last night, and when I got in - a bit tipsy -I went to bed and didn't check my messages. At 3:38 this morning someone called my cell phone, but I listened to it ring and went back to bed. If I neglected something important, let me know. I do know I sent you a couple of emails yesterday, one about a general manager, one about George Dvorsky, and I'm puzzled.
DRs TCB and MBarnum, welcome back.
Okay, I'm off to the office. If there's a break in, I hope I don't arrive in the midst of it.
