DR DearReaderLaura - So, what makes "hot worms" hot?

I'm not sure. But she insists.

Now Wae-Ling and DS are going through my bird field guide. She points to the photos, and he identifies them. It is quite fascinating. They are currently going through the sandpipers.

A Strictly Ballroom and DD reference.

...And I'd have to say that one of my favorite renditions of that song is by Linda Ronstadt on her "Frenesi" album.  Well, I like that whole album.

It is an exciting day around here. Mae-Ling and Wae-Ling came to Vacation Bible School today, and they will be visiting with us at our home until Mr. Goldstein gets home from work.

Wae-Ling made "hot worms" out of playdough while Mae-Ling drew hearts with markers, and now I am listening to an exciting reading of The Little Engine That Could, ready by DS.

The Mae-Ling and Wae-Ling stories always make my day, DR Laura!

DtM's ipod death distresses me...I want to get an IPod, but don't want to go through all the trouble of downloading tons of music onto it only to have it die someday.

I want it to last forever. And for the price of them they should last forever!

I've had pretty good service and service calls from Comcast.  The only real trouble was when I first got high speed Internet service when I was living with my sister.  They came out and set it up and it worked, but then a week later, it all just stopped...no access, no nothing.  But the TV still worked, so that was okay.  It took them a while to realize that someone forgot to check a box somewhere and once that was found, everything worked just peachily. :) And pretty much has ever since then.

Dinner consisted of a small turkey burger [sans bun], a small salad, and some steamed cauliflower.  Dessert shall be some fresh berries with a small amount of yogurt.  Yum!  :)

DR Jose - I tend to like ALL of Linda Ronstadt's recordings and find myself playing "Humming To Myself" often.  I've met others who don't care for it at all.  Your opinion?

I also love her "Winter Light".

DR JoseSPiano...how is it to play the dance section of Music and the Mirror?  It sure must help to have a drummer there.  I haven't looked at the score in a long time, but I would think that music doesn't really translate well to a piano reduction, rendering it awkward to play...

I prefer to think of Gere in "Grease" and Sorvino in "The Baker's Wife"

I'll take Gere in BENT AND Sorvino, with LuPone, in THE BAKER'S WIFE.

I can listen to Starlight Express (have three versions) without a problem.
We saw the show in London - the reasonably early version and it was just so DULL and thus seemed so very LONG.
